Chang Shen had no motivation to enter the oceans yet as the situation there was unknown as such he took down the shark, due to virtue of his great strength and intelligence.
After that, he moved the body back into the sea and devoured it leaving behind only bones before moving back.
The
In the period that followed, he spent most of the days with the main body hunting food and the rest of the time helping the clone gather energy to evolve.
This way, three days passed fast, but he stopped practicing the Five Animal Boxing and focused on the Basic Sword Technique.
He did not see any improvement but seemed calm, after all, he was with any other exercise he could practice.
On this day, he did not hunt at night, but rather wanted to make sure to finish gathering evolutionary energy and the target was a mass of blackfish, he had seen gathered together.
Even though they were half a meter, the energy from consuming many of them would do.
As he approached them, he observed their feeding style and was even more determined to consume them.
Chang Shen had already decided to use them as the next evolution option. He could see some of the way they consumed food as some kind of great help in the future as long as he allowed the ability to evolve if he gained it.
Without thinking much, he started to hunt them down.
The massive body of the clone gave him an advantage in the process. It took a few hours to fill the energy bar required for evolution and he was ready.
All he required was to pick some perfect creature to use as the basis of evolution. He had already made up his mind and was just waiting for the right time to make a move.
He did not kill all the fish he was hunting, when the energy requirements were met, he just kept following them stealthily, as he thought he could at least get some devouring ability from them.
When his consciousness returned to the main body, he could not help but admire his current state.
He had improved greatly, and with the evolution perhaps the Physique would even improve greatly. More importantly, he could see that his body seemed to have explosive strength. The same was true for the immense vitality moving around his body, and he could not help but attribute it to his crazy long life.
Compared to other people, a Lifespan of more than 200 years is almost considered immortal.
Overlooking his ragged clothes, he seemed to have gained a lot during this trip to the forest.
When he held the stick as a sword and swung it, it seemed to bring about some explosive sound due to the noise that came with it.
More importantly, it could indeed affect the area he was practicing, an indication that his strength had indeed increased greatly. But he did not need that to know, just looking at the attribute it would be easy to know.
The clone had also expanded rapidly almost reaching 5 meters which was even more unreasonable.
It seemed like the speed at which it transformed food into energy was not slow either, thus its size increase seemed to not even bother him.
"The explosive power that I can unleash in a fight is already this scary, I wonder how things would turn out if I the clone evolved too. Will my strength be enough to contend against the water snake?" he had already planned to settle the score, but the main reason was that he was aiming for its meat and blood.
His improvement in the future was based on the energy from that snake to make a step forward. But he did not know what kind of change would take place, or how high the creature's resources would allow him to reach, but that sense of attraction when he saw it seemed to mean something either way.
Perhaps it was also the same, and when it saw him, it already pictured him as a massive panacea for its advancement.
Since that was the case, the two of them would not spare each other at all.
But he did not want to take this risk without enough capabilities, and at the moment he was not that confident. Perhaps when under the threat of death the snake might erupt its trump card and that is why he was not in a rush to attack it.
His focus has been on the clone, even the issue of finding the source of the radioactive energy seemed to have been put aside by him.
In the moment though, he was calm, as he practiced the Basic Sword technique he seemed to experience some calmness. His thoughts seemed to be on the moves and everything else had been thrown out of the mind.
He only stopped when he was exhausted and continued after recovering.
"It seems like the path forward in the Basic Sword technique is not that mysterious anymore. All I have to do is continue practicing this way and accumulation will lead to transformation." he could feel it, what he needed was just time and he would improve.
More importantly, he could feel that the Basic Sword technique was more beneficial to his spirit. It was becoming more refined the more he practiced it, for some odd reason, it did not increase, but rather it became pure.
*****
In the evening, the clone that was drifting with the currents opened its eyes and started to move. It was fast and in less than an hour located the target, but the fish present seemed to have some small difference that was overlooked him.
After all the fish before him has a slightly bigger head compared to other body sections.
It was not a fight, with the strength of the clone, the fish was captured fast before it could even resist. Dragging it under the water, the clone swallowed it and went into the sand to start evolution. It initiated the evolution for the third time.
Drowsiness seemed to come to it, and without even knowing it eyes closed. A strange force seemed to be spreading from the body of the fish, slowly being infused into the genes of the clone. At the same time, the size of the clone was becoming bigger, in no time it reached 6 meters and did not stop to expand.
The entire surface of the clone seemed to have undergone some kind of shedding and the new appearance seemed to become black. The previous colors on its body seemed to have become strips on the fins.
At the same, time an area of 20 meters around it seemed to be sinking, for some reason, massive darkness was covering the area.
With the improvement in size, the darkness seemed to expand slightly in all directions.
