Jason began to wonder just what else these fragments could do, Dimitris knew that attempting to fight the zombie would be pointless considering that it didn't kill him.

Jason nodded and this told Dimitris that it was best to follow this zombie's command.

He didn't know what the zombie had in mind but it could be mistaking Jason as another zombie.

Jason had established that it didn't hunt other zombies with the fragment with the earlier occurrence when they drove down that road.

But after engaging Jason in combat briefly, it just stopped and luckily, this allowed Jason to deactivate his skill and preserve his stamina.
