章節 429: Chapter 429: Assault on the Time Dragon, The True Instigator of the War of Glory.

In the eighty-ninth layer of the Abyssal Depths, known as the Shadow Sea, lies the deepest part of the vast and boundless ocean—the Y'shael Abyss. This is a place where no light penetrates, a seemingly endless chasm that extends for billions of kilometers, capable of engulfing the entire prime material world.

The abyss, a deep trench within the sea, is home to devilfish, deep divers, demon squids, and deep-sea fishfolk, among other creatures. These beings are not only residents of the Shadow Sea but are also known as the progeny of the ancient sea god, Grandmaster.

At this very moment, at the deepest point of the Y'shael Abyss, under tremendous water pressure where almost no life can exist, a massive dark shadow moves slowly along the bottom of the rift.

Slippery tentacles, countless pale glowing eyes, and heads covered with dark blue scales that resemble fish, mollusks, eels, and octopuses—all merge into a grotesque, gigantic sea monster quietly residing in the deepest part of the Y'shael Abyss. With each breath, it moves in perfect rhythm with the pulsations of the Shadow Sea, as if the sea exists solely for it.

This entity is the ancient sea god, Grandmaster.

Very few creatures know the true face of Grandmaster.

In the prime material world, only some beings with naturally strong mental wills can glimpse the shadowy outline of this ancient god during dreams, blood sacrifices, cult rituals, or moments near death.

Grandmaster possesses the power to corrode the minds of intelligent beings.

Any creature that notices him or is noticed by him will fall into a horrifying dream-like state, gradually becoming delirious and unable to distinguish reality from dreams. As they descend into madness under the whispers of the ancient god, they step closer to collapse, their bodies transforming into grotesque forms.

Ultimately, the only relief from this torment is to offer one's soul and worship to the deep sea god, or to meet one's end through death.

This is Grandmaster's method of corrupting the prime material world and converting his followers.

Unlike typical demon lords, Grandmaster is also a wild god, a malevolent deity. In the coastal regions of many prime material worlds, cults worshiping Grandmaster often remain well-hidden.

Followers of Grandmaster, humanoid beings, mate with sea creatures through mysterious rites, giving birth to half-human, half-fish offspring.

They desecrate their own bloodlines and sacrifice them to please the deep sea god.

In return, Grandmaster grants them the ability to breathe underwater, abundant catches of fish, possibly cursed treasures, or bizarre spells.

Interestingly, despite wielding dark powers that drive all creatures mad, Grandmaster is a rational and wise ancient being.

Besides the princes of demons, Grandmaster is undoubtedly one of the most dangerous demon lords in the Abyss.

Even the demon prince Dimogorgon, who once controlled the eighty-eighth layer of the Abyss—the Saltwater Marshes next to the Shadow Sea—found it more convenient to attack adjacent layers of the Abyss. Yet, even at the height of his brutal and bloodthirsty era, Dimogorgon never attacked the Shadow Sea.

Dimogorgon ventured into the Shadow Sea but quickly returned to his Saltwater Marshes. Demons whisper that after testing Grandmaster's strength, Dimogorgon realized that the ancient Obirith demon was too formidable to provoke, which curbed his aggressive intentions toward the Shadow Sea.

Not just Dimogorgon.

The King of Worms and the Queen of Chaos have also visited the Shadow Sea and had certain dealings with the ancient sea god.

When the lord of the Shadow Shoals was sealed, this vampire demon lord's cries for help reached the Shadow Sea and the ears of Grandmaster.

However, from the Shadow Sea to the Myriad Abyss Plains, it is not possible to arrive instantly.

Without preparation, Grandmaster also needs a few seconds to manifest part of his body onto the Myriad Abyss Plains.

Garon's sudden rise was too swift.

Almost before the lord of the Shadow Shoals could react, he was sealed with the speed of lightning, and Garon retreated back into the Abyss, returning to the dragon courts in the blink of an eye.

Moreover.

The deep sea god showed no intention of saving the lord of the Shadow Shoals.

Upon hearing the cries for help, he merely blinked his pale eyes and remained silent in the Y'shael Abyss, without any movement.

He had never intended to save the lord of the Shadow Shoals.

To Grandmaster, it was better for a servant who didn't consider the consequences of his actions to die.

Provoking powerful enemies over a servant is not Grandmaster's style.

This demon lord's unique position in the Abyss is not only due to his immense power but also to his wisdom and rationality. During the numerous

upheavals in the Abyss over countless years, Grandmaster has not been involved.

Gurgling.

In the bubbles rising from the depths of the Shadow Sea, Grandmaster's tentacles gently stir.

Crack.

The seawater ripples, and the space fluctuates violently.

In the prime material world, a legendary spellcaster who is constructing a planar teleportation spell to travel to Mount Celestia to collect casting materials stops his spellcasting as the portal, suddenly imbued with a strong smell of the sea, becomes ominous.

However, the unformed space portal does not dissipate but transforms into a deep, dark vortex.

Through the vortex, the legendary spellcaster glimpses a writhing, slimy, massive dark shadow and immediately falls unconscious, his mind overwhelmed by indescribable horrors.

Hiss.

A tentacle covered in flesh teeth, pustules, and eyes emerges from the vortex, wrapping around the spellcaster's waist and dragging him into the vortex.

In the depths of the Shadow Sea, in the Y'shael Abyss.

The unconscious spellcaster is now enveloped in Grandmaster's slimy tentacles, being wrapped in layers of decaying flesh with tiny blood vessels injecting unknown, bizarre fluids into his body.

The spellcaster's face twitches as he endures a nightmarish torment, with countless worms writhing under his skin.

At the same time, an aura belonging to a legendary creature rapidly intensifies.

Grandmaster is creating a new lord of the Shadow Shoals to serve him.

Since the previous one was foolish and met his own demise, creating another demon lord of similar lesser divine power is not difficult for this deep sea god.

Time silently passes.

After a while, in the ink-like Shadow Sea above, the dark, gloomy space shatters like a mirror, and a purple-red tentacle emerges, stretching infinitely towards the boundless Shadow Sea, heading straight for the Y'shael Abyss.

Deep within the Y'shael Abyss.

The massive dark shadow darker than darkness itself slightly stirs, causing turbulent deep sea currents.

"Queen of Chaos, the Shadow Sea does not welcome you."

The Shadow Sea trembles, carrying the will of the deep sea god through the purple-red tentacle, entering the mind of the Queen of Chaos.

"Grandmaster, you should know I've already rescued my demon prince."

"In today's Abyss, Dimogorgon is gravely wounded and hidden, and Obox-ob is a weak, useless thing."

"Only my prince has the qualifications to be a king, especially with my guidance."

The Queen of Chaos communicates with Grandmaster through thoughts, already familiar with how to find him in the Shadow Sea.

"Is that so?"

"It seems you are confident about the Wolf Spider becoming king."

"If so, what brings you to the Shadow Sea?"

Grandmaster responds.

The Queen of Chaos gets straight to the point, calmly saying, "Because I need your assistance."

"I know you don't want to get involved in the battle for kingship, just wanting to stay peacefully in the Shadow Sea, but I don't need you to act directly. You just need to use your deep, insightful mind to help me find Dimogorgon."

The Queen of Chaos persuades him, saying, "If we find Dimogorgon, my prince can definitely become the demon king."

"Grandmaster, once I become the demon queen, I promise you that no demon will ever disturb your Shadow Sea. Even when the entire multiverse becomes the sole domain of the Abyss, the current Abyss can be completely under your rule."

The deep sea god remains silent for a moment.

"Let's not speak of these empty words."

Faced with Grandmaster's refusal, the Queen of Chaos becomes agitated, bringing up Garon's actions, saying, "Grandmaster, do you really want to remain forever silent in the Shadow Sea?"

"Even a newly ascended dragon god of eternity and time dares to plan the assassination of your subordinate lord, showing no fear of your presence."

Masters of concealment are not rare among demon lords.

The reason the Queen of Chaos sought the lord of the Shadow Shoals was also in hopes of provoking Grandmaster to come out when it was time to take revenge on the dragon god of eternity and time.

And as the Queen of Chaos expected, the newly ascended dragon god was indeed a tough character, quickly pursuing vengeance in the Abyss, which surprised her.

"Grandmaster, where is the dignity of an ancient Obirith demon?"

Unperturbed by the Queen of Chaos's provocation, the deep sea god remains calm.

"Rassle was fooled by you, due to its own stupidity."

"However, I'm surprised that you're trying to anger me with this. I'm surprised at the shallowness of your wisdom."

"As for my dignity, do you think the death of a mere servant can shake my position?"

Grandmaster's rational analysis and implied mockery infuriate the Queen of Chaos in her

true form in the Steamy Marshes, causing her to smash mountains in frustration.

Without waiting for the Queen of Chaos to respond, Grandmaster continues, "You once asked me to join the war of Order and Chaos, and I refused. Your failure has already proven the correctness of my choice."

"My thoughts are the same this time."

Grandmaster's will is calm and rational, saying, "Queen of Chaos, I understand you, and I know your ambition is unimaginably great."

He pauses, as the increasingly irate will of the Queen of Chaos listens, and Grandmaster whispers, "But I'm even clearer that you lack the wisdom and power to realize your own ambitions."

"I've already seen your future. You will die in the flames of your never-satisfied ambition."

The Queen of Chaos originally sought Grandmaster's assistance.

Failing to gain his help and instead being rebuked, she immediately becomes furious.

"Fine, very well."

"Grandmaster, once my prince becomes the demon king, the first place we'll trample will be your Shadow Sea!"

"By then, I hope you won't regret your choice today."

Purple-red tentacles churn the Shadow Sea, killing countless deep-sea creatures living there, before finally leaving and returning to the Steamy Marshes.

After the Queen of Chaos departs, Grandmaster once again falls silent, continuing to transform the captured spellcaster.

However, not much time passes.

In the depths of the Y'shael Abyss, not far from Grandmaster's location.

The profound darkness solidifies into a tangible substance, like a physical mist filled with filth, distortion, and evil. In the endless black mist, a massive spherical dark shadow, comparable to the deep sea god, lurks.

If any creature's gaze could penetrate the Shadow Sea and the black mist to see the hidden massive dark shadow.

They would see a spherical body made of rotting flesh, covered with numerous, crowded, densely packed tentacles, eyes filled with malevolent gazes, and interlocking, fierce fangs.

The original Sun God, severely wounded in the joint assault by the gods of Mount Celestia, led by the God of Light and the Metal Dragon God.

He is now hiding in the Y'shael Abyss of the Shadow Sea.

"Who would have thought, the young Time Dragon, once weak and frightened under my shadow, is now ascended to godhood."

"Hehe, if not for this young Time Dragon, I wouldn't be hiding here, barely surviving."

The black mist churns ceaselessly, filled with hateful gazes.

During the gods' siege, the true body of the original Sun God was nearly destroyed, barely surviving. If not for the deep sea god's secret help, he might not have escaped the God of Light's pursuit.

"Grandmaster, you could have agreed to the Queen of Chaos just now."

"Then you could have asked her and the Wolf Spider to join you in a plan to kill the Time Dragon."

"I have a feeling he will be a major threat to our plans."

Faced with the will of the original Sun God filled with hatred, the deep sea god calmly says, "You're right."

"Last time, the Faceless King's assassination attempt led to a war between the dragon and elf god families. We thought the dragons and elves would both suffer greatly, possibly leading to a full-scale war involving more god families."

"Unfortunately, the elves were defeated so quickly, even allowing the dragon god family to recover and become even stronger."

"These unexpected developments, including Garon Aurelian's involvement, were contrary to our predictions."

The original Sun God questions, "If so, why not agree to the Queen of Chaos?"

The deep sea god looks at the original Sun God, slowly saying, "The timing isn't right."

"The other party is not foolish. If we fail again, we might be exposed to the eyes of all gods."

"To overthrow the world currently controlled by the gods, we need to patiently wait for the right opportunity, wait for more ancient wild gods to be released from their seals, to return from death."

The deep sea god shows a look of regret, saying, "The Queen of Chaos should have been our ally, an original wild god."

"Unfortunately, like the King of Worms, she has been transformed by the will of the Abyss without knowing it, considering herself a demon lord, no longer possessing the essence of a wild god."

"Fighting endlessly for the title of demon king, how sad."
