I turned my gaze toward the guard who had attempted to escort me away, maintaining a prolonged stare that heightened his anxiety.
"W-Who are you?" The anxious guard asked, gulping.
Finally, breaking the silence, I spoke, "No, he just wanted to speak to me... Please excuse me; I have to visit someone," I declared, walking past them and towards the cell block where Damir awaited.
"Alright, have a nice visit, sir!" the senior guard respectfully conveyed, while his annoying counterpart ambled away at a slow pace.
Approaching the imposing entrance of the initial cell block, I confidently extended both hands to push open the door, momentarily closing my eyes against the brilliance of the harsh light that flooded in.
