章節 508: Chapter 507 "Lecturing Dumbledore"

Sean walked to the cushion next to Dumbledore and sat down.

"You look unhappy, Sean. You finally look like a child now." Dumbledore laughed happily.

Sean said angrily, "As a person involved in this situation, I am really upset that my trusted elders treat me like thieves, but it has nothing to do with age. Normal people would have the same reaction, professor. "

Dumbledore nodded, "What you said makes sense, you should be unhappy, and it really has nothing to do with age."

Sean wanted to roll his eyes when he heard that. He didn't speak, just waiting for Dumbledore's next words.

He pulled the folds of his robe and said in an ethereal tone that Sean barely heard, "Sean, I have already heard about the conversations you had with the principals. I must admit that your sensitivity surpasses my imagination. You and Gellert have indeed learned a lot, at least in terms of seeing other people's hearts. I have never seen someone who is better than you."

"However," he changed the subject, "It's not good to use acting skills to get information from them. They are all people who have made contributions to Hogwarts and the entire wizarding world. You can't just do that to them."

Sean glanced at Dumbledore.

"Professor, I don't deny that I used some acting skills and some words that can inspire others. But what I said was the truth," Sean said softly.

Dumbledore didn't seem to expect Shaun to say that, and he looked surprised.

After a while, he sighed and touched the corners of his eyes, "I'm touched, Sean."

He continued, "From your point of view, you are right. But I must tell you that those feelings are the greatest thing that human beings have, whether they are a wizard or a Muggle."

Sean couldn't bear it anymore. He felt that he had lost his usual calm. "Professor, you are going to die, right? You kept part of the prophecy a secret from me."

Dumbledore didn't admit it or deny it. He just talked about another topic, "Allow me to ask you a question. Do you think that in the current world, not only wizards but also Muggles can be equal and friendly to each other?"

"Professor, I know you are a kind person, and I also admire your wisdom, so you should know the answer to this question," Sean said.

"No, I want to know your answer." Dumbledore replied.

Sean took a few moments, looked around, and then stood up. His ring was opened, and Dumbledore was not surprised when he saw the magical animals coming out, but he looked a little surprised when he saw the things that the magical animals moved out.

It was an exquisite classical piano.

Sean played the piano without paying much attention and said to Dumbledore, "Professor, this piano is made in England and has a long history. It is worth hundreds of thousands of pounds."

There was a flash of surprise in Dumbledore's eyes, and there was some thought in his eyes looking at Sean.

Sean chuckled, "This piano was placed in the living room of my house when I was born. I have been using this piano since I was three years old when I could only hit the keys roughly. It's a musical instrument and a luxury item, and for the vast majority of people in this world, if they didn't have such a piano at home when they were born, they probably won't have it in this life."

"Is this fair, Professor?" Sean looked at him.

Dumbledore fell silent.

Sean continued, "For me, this is just a normal instrument. If I accidentally break it, my parents will only ask me if I am injured and won't care about this thing."

"Although I became a wizard, my mother still hoped that I could keep learning the piano. She thought it was a skill that could add value to me, so I took the piano, and when I was free, I'll practice with it, and the animals love hearing me play, even though I'm not good enough."

"To keep the living room from feeling so empty, my dad bought another collector's piano, which is more expensive than this, but no one even touches it when I'm not home."

Sean pressed on the black keys of the piano and made a trembling note, "Is this fair?"

Dumbledore sighed, "Sean, your words are sharper than I imagined. As an old man, I even feel the sting."

Sean replied, "Professor, you raised this question to me, but you knew the answer already. There may be fairness in this world, but there will never be equality."

"These animals, if replaced by another person, would they still be listening to me? No, because the person they have always been around is Sean, and I have a special talent. Professor, your feelings should be better than mine. As a well-known genius in the wizarding world, you will deny this, but it is the truth. You are better than others from the moment you come in contact. The speed at which you learn is much faster than others, and your spell is much better than others; this is an indisputable fact."

"If another person, named John or Tom, has put in exactly the same effort as you, even harder than you, studying magic day and night. But why is there no well-known wizard named John or Tom in the wizarding world now? What about a wizard like you? Others have respect when they see Dumbledore, but they don't show it when they see Tom or John. Is that equal?"

Dumbledore smiled and shook his head, "I regret asking you this question."

Sean shrugged, "Professor, I can understand a little bit of your struggle, but it must be said that everyone is born different, and we don't need to ask everyone to be different. I personally think that a relative degree of equality of opportunity can be achieved; society should provide everyone with the same opportunities and conditions to pursue their own interests."

"Professor, your kindness will not be given equally to everyone, and I don't think this is something worth worrying about. You might as well think about how to encourage others to work harder to improve themselves and give as much as possible. Aren't you the principal of Hogwarts?" Sean said softly.

Dumbledore fell into deep thought and smiled, "You are a genius, Sean."

Sean shrugged, "No, I'm more realistic than others."

Dumbledore seemed to have figured something out. He touched the piano and said, "Sean, I suddenly became curious. Forgive my sudden questions."

"I don't mind, Professor."

He pressed the white key, "Do you think there is absolute good and evil in this world?"

Sean didn't know why he asked this question. He shook his head, "I never say absolute, but good and evil must exist."

Dumbledore thought, "Your answer is interesting."

Sean leaned on the piano and pressed the keys casually. Dumbledore was surprised to find that he had become a different person.

"Professor, Although it is very impolite to say so, I still have to tell you. In some way, you are inferior to me."

"Of course, especially feelings," Dumbledore said with a smile.

Sean smiled faintly, "That is just one of them. But, professor, when you say this, you must have some thoughts in your heart. You may can still maintain your usual demeanor, but deep down in your heart, you can't help but have a thought as Albus Dumbledore, you are stronger than most people in this world and you have to help them, no matter what."

Dumbledore did not speak, waiting for Sean's next words.

"That's just human nature, professor." Sean looked straight at him, "You are too kind, and you believe too much in the good parts of humans. It's not that beautiful things are not worthy of our help, but while pursuing them, we should maintain a certain degree of wariness."

Dumbledore just sighed, looking remorseful.

Sean changed the subject, "Professor, how about my interpretation of you from another angle?"

Dumbledore said, "I can't refute that, Sean."

Sean smiled. He sat down on the piano and said, "Professor, I have a question. Who do you think is the best among the four founders of Hogwarts?"

Dumbledore shook his head but replied, "Salazar Slytherin and Rowena Ravenclaw cannot be easily judged, but Slytherin may be better; it can be seen from his dedication to finding a student."

Sean said, "I think it's Lady Helga Hufflepuff."

Dumbledore gave a thoughtful expression.

Sean continued, "Strange. Hufflepuff students are stoic and honest, not afraid of hard work. It is said that every house is the same, but it is undeniable that many people still believe that Hufflepuff students aren't that good and mediocre at best; only Cedric was a brilliant representative of the house."

"Everyone says that Slytherin, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw all have their own qualities, and only Hufflepuff takes in the leftover students. But I think Hufflepuff is the best one. She believes that her house can still educate the remaining students from other colleges to become excellent wizards."

Dumbledore shook his head in admiration, "You really are something."

"I accept your compliment, Professor—. Sean stroked his chest gracefully.

"It never occurred to me that I wanted to talk to you about something, but I didn't expect that the person who was being lectured now was me." Dumbledore showed a happy smile, " Wonderful, very wonderful, Sean."

Sean laughed, "Let's look at various things from another angle, shall we?"

"Yes, yes." Dumbledore sighed, and then he put on a serious expression, "Sean, it's time to talk about business."

"I've been waiting for this moment."

Dumbledore said in a deep voice, "There are some things that I don't want to tell you. It's not good to think that you know about it, but there are some things that I can't tell you. Especially, those things have an impact on you."

Sean frowned, "The Sin?"

"That's right."
