25% GONE WITH THE FLOW / Chapter 3: Grounded

章節 3: Grounded

"Crazy twins huh." I heard behind me. I turned around quickly to see Chris resting on the wall behind me.

"Excuse me?" I asked trying to figure out what he was talking about, well I did remember calling the twins crazy but could he have heard me.

"You know if you didn't like us you could have just said you didn't like us why go about calling my sisters crazy?" he asked. There was this air around him that told me how much he cared about his sisters and that was so adorable but not enough to make me back down.

"Didn't your parents teach you that it's not nice to eavesdrop?" I retorted. I knew I was going a bit far bringing his parents into this but I couldn't just ignore the fact that they were all part of the reason I was in this mood.

"You really are a bitch," he sighed like he was sorry for me. "I really wanted to give you the benefit of doubt."

I didn't understand what he meant by that but I had a clue, George must have said something about me that must have been it. Well, I didn't care one bit any friend of George's was definitely no friend of mine. With this thought in mind I walked out or at least tried to but was pulled back by Chris strong grip on my arm.

"let go!!" I yelled in his face.

"Bitch or not it isn't nice to walk out on an unfinished conversation." He said not flinching one bit from my yell.

" I don't care what you have to say I don't have anything to say to you end of conversation." I retorted while forcing my arm out of his grip. He didn't seem to care since he just walked out without another word. 'hypocrite'

I thought I saw something from the corner of my eye so I quickly turned around to meet the wonderful sight before me. It was like something out of a fairytale, there was a bright waterfall which met a flowing river at the end, by the river beds were so many varieties of flowers which had so many different colors, it looked so magnificent I had never seen anything like that in my seventeen years of life. I guess I could end up liking this place after all. My mind left the trance of the sight as I began to look around the water for what had caught my eye earlier. I saw something, a figure that looked more human than animal run past the waterfall it was too fast so I really couldn't tell what kind of animal it was, there was also a possibility I was just imagining it. The commotion in the house finally caught my attention so I went back into my room, the twins were no longer there rather a pouty faced George sat on my bed.

"What are you doing here?" I asked with a bit of irritation laced in my voice. No matter how hard I tried to hold off the irritation it was a fact that George and I never and I mean never got along so it was so un natural that he'd be in my room.

"You really had to insult them didn't you?" he said giving me a disappointed look like I had done something so alien to the Edwards.

"Well if mom had listened to you and not try to show the Edwards the disgraceful part of the family then maybe this won't have happened." I shrugged. It was not a hidden fact that no one in our house liked me, no one except George openly said it but actions always speaks louder than words. Mom and dad always treated George so much better, even the extended family treated me like I was a sore sight. The only person that acted neutral was aunt Emily, she was not exactly part of the family though, she treated both George and I equally it wasn't a good kind since she was mean but she was mean to both of us. There were many times the thought of being adopted came to mind but I never asked cause I was scared that if I asked I would be thrown out so I kept quiet. Well mom and dad weren't really mean to me so I still loved I was only annoyed cause of their preferential treatment towards us.

"That's exactly what I told her." George said like he was saying I was the only person that gets him in the house. "Anyway mom said to tell you that your grounded until school starts, later loser." He said and left the room. I really felt like strangling him but I could not since he was their golden child.

I took my gadgets and went to drop them in my parents room then went into Debbie's room. Debbie was the only one in the family who I could talk to and she wouldn't judge me, well considering she was only six months but still.

"Hi Deb." I cooed as I pulled a chair beside her cot. She was playing with a little doll in her hand, she was never a child who needed much attention, she could be left in a room for about two to three hours with some toys in her cot and she won't make a sound so long as she was well fed.

"It's me Bella." I sat there for a while playing with her while talking about my problems.

The next day was not exactly the best day of my life. Being grounded in my house also meant being confined to your room, I was only allowed out of my room to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was the only one left at home since today was Thursday, mom and dad had gone to sign in at their respective workplaces then had gone to the Edwards with George for dinner. The only person who came by was Anna the housekeeper though I didn't see her I heard her working in the house.

"You missed out on a lot Bella!" George exclaimed as he barged into my room at eight in the evening.

"Do I seem like I care." I scoffed.

"Well you should cause if you stopped being soo you for a second you wont be left out on everything." He said like it was such a terrible thing to be me.

"If that's all you've got to say then alright I get it can you leave my room now?" I said giving him a pointed look.

"Whatever just so you know Chris is taking me on a tour tomorrow and guess who is not invited, you." He snickered and left my room. I really hated George so much, like how dare he just come here to gloat.

Mom and dad had probably apologized to the Edwards on my behalf so they could continue their growing friendship that could be the only reason why Chris decided to take George on a tour. I really couldn't care any lesser than I already do.
