章節 2: Chapter 2
The ride was going as usual. Missis and Mister Adams singing there lovely song,Lurch being as quite as a wooden door and Wednesday still piercing Izuku with her gaze.
"U-Umm....is there something on my face?" He asked with a raised left eyebrow.
"Nothing....." She said putting one of her legs on top of another "Just you still seem strange to me."
Truth be told, Wednesday never encountered people similar to Izuku. As her ol good experience can tell,she can drive anyone crazy with her extremely sharp as knife words. However Izuku was a bit different from same monotone lot. She felt something strange and annoying in him.
But putting this aside the most worried was Inko.
"Something the matter Ms.Midoriya?" Marticia took initiative and finally asked the question.
Yes. Inko didn't knew English well but no one said that she wasn't able to understand or speak in English.
"D-Duolingo...." She said scared.
Obviously she gained confused look from everyone beside Izuku who tried to hide his face with his hand.
"My gosh,what an awful name...what is it?"
"It's nothing to be afraid of....unless you miss a lesson." Inko's fearful voice peaked Wednesday's interest.
"So what will happen if you miss a lesson?" Wednesday asked curiously.
"Pain...a lot of it."
~Chapter 2: The School named Nevermore~
During the ride Izuku was silent and finally decided to sleep. Meanwhile Inko and Marticia seemed to get along just well.
"It's so hard to control her....we don't know what is her problem."
"That's a common problem of all parents...."
"Really? I think your child is adorable,Inko." Marticia complemented Izuku to Inko.
"Yes he is....I doesn't deserve having such a good hearted child...."
"Hm? And why is that?"
"Y-You see....he was born quirkless and since childhood passed through discrimination....I still remember the moment when he asked me whether can he become a hero...."
Adams listened Inko carefully while she was talking.
'So he is Quirkless?' Wednesday thought to herself looking at snoring Izuku.
"And...what happened next? What did you say?"
Inko clenched her fists trying to hide her tears....
"I said that I'm sorry.....I didn't said anything."
Yes....the parent's role is always to help there children. To help them and give good advices...however Inko always regret that she didn't said "Yes,you can!" and now yet again she ruined her child's dream.
"You are a horrible parent Ms.Inko." Wednesday said calm and merciless.
"..."
Everyone were silent.
"Please excuse my daughter's sharp tongue." Marticia and Gomez started to apologize on Wednesday's behalf.
"My poisonous spider.... that's not a good thing to say you know?"
"Might be true I guess,but I don't like to hide my own opinion."
Somehow Wednesday's words lightened the mood.... surprisingly.
~Time Skip~
"Ah! The good old Nevermore! How I missed this awful place!"
Gomez and Marticia were having a flashbacks of their young days in this school.
The Old creepy castle with statues all over the place. It's sharp roofs,the cold hearted aura and the weather around it was so frightening that Izuku thought he was teleported into a horror movie.
"Mmm~! Such a good weather, I'm getting my good memories back~!" Marticia held Gomez's hands as they started to kiss each other.
"You both are horribly annoying." Wednesday looked at them with disgust hiding her face with a little black handkerchief with a spider mark on it.
Meanwhile Izuku and Inko were looking around scared and frightened like little kittens.
"M-Mom...."
"Y-Yes,dear?"
This duo was really soft for scary things. There was a time when they didn't slept three days after watching a horror movie.
"Is it really that famous school you were talking about?" Izuku asked nervously.
"I believe so....your father used to study in here."
"What, really?"
When the theme was about his father's past Izuku always was curious... Hisashi Midoriya was really a mysterious person even for his son.
"Well Well! Let's move to the Principal office than!" Gomez exclaimed enthusiastically pushing both Izuku and Wednesday inside.
Upon entering Izuku saw many different students. Many of them looked strange even in era where people work as 'heroes' and wear a latex costumes for god's sake.
Many of them were strange...some were quite interesting in a way.
Izuku's eyes picked a bunch of students who were making a strange wolf sounds similar to "Woooo"
But that aside Gomez's pushing was way to strong for Izuku nor Wednesday to get against it. Surprisingly this guy was bit too strong.
"Stop pushing me like a crazy driver,Dad." Wednesday said. "I don't like it."
While being pushed in there back Marticia and Inko were following.
"I'm sorry for sudden question but...." Marticia clearly had something in mind and decided to ask Inko right away.
"M? What question?" Nervously asked Inko.
"Why did you choose Nevermore as school for Izuku to study?"
"Oh! Haha....i-it wasn't me who decided that but this child's dad,he used to study in here."
This line picked Marticia's interest.
"Hmm...can you tell me your husband's name?"
"Oh,his name is Hisashi...Hisashi Midoriya."
Upon hearing this name Marticia's expression changed to surprised one. Despite being with constant mystery smile Marticia's expression changed which made Inko uncomfortable.
"Something w-wrong?" Inko asked unsure how to respond.
"No No....Nothing is wrong.... it's quite opposite,now everything is coming into its own place."
Marticia seemed scarily strange as to what Inko decided to ignore sudden change in her mood.
As moving on our group finally made it to principal's office.
Gomez knocked the door as a voice came out saying: "Come in,please!"
Mister Adams opened the door as Adams and Midoriyas were met by white haired woman in white suit and fairly short skirt in strict white style. Woman herself seemed to play younger age than she actually was.
Woman quickly analyzed the people near her as upon seeing Marticia her eyes became wide and happy.
"Marti!!!!"
Woman said happily seeing Marticia.
"Been awhile, Larissa." Marticia waved her hand seeing her highschool friend.
Larisa Weems. The new principal of Nevermore. Upon seeing Marticia her expression changed to happy one...or so it seemed to others while Izuku noted something strange in her behaviour.
Something was telling Izuku she was hiding something...but Izuku didn't payed too much attention to his hunch.
"Soooo?"
Larissa said sitting on her wheelchair which was decorated by leather and golden buttons while looking at Inko and Adams.
"Larissa,I guess you know the reason why we are here?"
"Of course! As I can see both families came in time." Her glance fall towards Izuku.
She looked at him thoughtfully while smiled with business smile.
"So you are Hisashi's son? Never thought that his child will look so innocent...unlike your dad." She said the last part seemingly unpleased to remember Hisashi.
"Wait,Hisashi!?" Gomez exclaimed seemingly remembering something."No wonder I thought that Izuku seemed familiar."
What was going on? Everyone in the room knew about his father which made Izuku even more curious about identity of his father.
Going on,next Larissa saw Wednesday glaring at her strictly.
"Oh! I can guarantee that your daughter is complete copy of yours Marticia."
"We hear that a lot, Larissa."
Larissa inspected Wednesday while got her conclusion.
"I can guess that you were born on Wednesday right?" Larissa said trying to understand the reason behind this name.
"No." Wednesday shortly replied."I was named because of poem 'Chiren are burning on Wednesday.' "
"Oh....umm... going on,our school will be glad to have such a students as you both."
Izuku wasn't sure whether to be glad or not.....this place seemed just not being cut in for him.
"But the main question still lies on both of you.... firstly Wednesday,your personal data is quite..... extraordinary. You were kicked out from six different schools and in every of there was casualties."
Wednesday simply smiled to this.
"All six of these schools couldn't hold me,what makes you think that your school can?"
Larissa seemed a bit surprised while Marticia decided to take care of situation and avoid further misunderstanding.
"Ahem! Our daughter wanted to say that she is glad to be in here."
"Okay...umm moving on,Izuku you seem to be smarter for your age...your personal info and marks are perfect but I have one question,why there is a blank in quirk section of your dossier?"
This question surprised Izuku....while he seemed a bit silent.
"U-Umm...Miss Larissa,you see....My son is quirkless and your question..."
"Ah! My goodness, I'm so sorry Mister Izuku!" Larissa sweat dropped at her own manners.
"No e-everything is alright. I'm used to this."
"Really,excuse me my bad manners...a-anyway how about you both will stay outside while your parents will sign some documents?"
"I-I don't mind it..." Izuku said both agreeing to Larissa's proposal and meanwhile being a bit worried about Wednesday who obviously will be displeased with him as a company to her.
"Me neither."
They both got outside to wait for there parents. The waiting hall was a violet mixed with dark blue (somewhat cyan) color. Wednesday and Izuku were sitting on wooden chairs which seemed old and crumpy.
There was a dead silence between them. No one dared to talk. Izuku being extremely nervous grew a bit uncomfortable with current silence as tried to lighten the mood.
"U-Umm...wh-what a nice weather!" He said looking at a completely dark clouds 'Or not so nice one....'
"Are you trying to hold a conversation with me?"
"N-No just...."
"Why are you trying to befriend me?"
"N-No reason at all j-just—"
"Just what? I am not trying to find any friends in here. I'm not like you. Unlike you who see the world in rainbows and unicorns I can see it clearly." Wednesday still had the iron maiden face while was pointing her index finger towards Izuku.
"So what?"
"Huh?"
"I know you don't like me at all but I just think that we are somewhat similar." Izuku grew quite confident since All Might's rejecting him on his dream.
"And in what kind of miraculously way we are similar?"
"We are both reject of our own society. You know it's quite difficult to be abnormal among normies."
Wednesday could relate with it but still she didn't understood him.
"I don't feel any kind of sadness being alone I will never have such a foolish thing as happiness being heartless is far way too good."
"You might think that way but I think you have a heart...at least biologically. I also love being alone but the thing that I will never bear is being rejected by my own family. You have things that you don't value much."
"And what is these supposedly 'things' you are talking about?"
"Your family. You have such a good family. You don't value your carrying mother and father who always help you and support you!"
Still Wednesday didn't understood him. Carrying family? She doesn't know or have any sympathy to these kinds of things. She loves to think that her heart is hard and black. She love to hide her emotions in her monotone mask.
"In what way they are supporting me? In what way they are helping me? Huh?"
Unusually to Wednesday her calmness was being swayed in by anger. She feels a similar feeling whenever her little brother Purgsley is being bullied. She violently grabbed him by collar.
"You just don't know anything about me....I never show emotions!"
Sudden silence. Izuku didn't said a word but smiled.
"See,so you have emotions." His soft smile made a bad mood to disappear which made Wednesday a bit confused."You are happy when you accomplish your goals,you are angry when someone annoys you and you can even have love in yourself."
She weakened her grab on his collar and let him go.
"Sigh...you know that you are extremely annoying and nerdy." Wednesday noted putting her hand on her head as if having a headache.
"I h-hear that a lot...."
"So what's the reason behind you saying all those things to me?"
"You know...I Izuku Midoriya have a dream."
"What?"
"I want to be a hero in future...I want to save people in need of help with smile on my face. And Saving people can be both physically and mentally."
"So as to what I can guess you want to save me?"
"Yes. It's not that I w-want but it's that I will. I will become your friend."
"Alright than....how about a challenge?" Wednesday came up with something."During this year of our studying in here make me understand what is the meaning of happiness."
Izuku had a confident smile.
"I surely will, challenge accepted!"
