(Just a clarification, "hi" means verbal talking, those that produces sound. 'hi' is thought and it doesn't produce sounds.)

Sun Moon Federation.
As the Spirit Pagoda envoy had said, the adults handled all the paperwork regarding his transfer to the Skyorder Star Ocean academy in just a few days.
With that done, Fan Lin was safely escorted to the Skyorder City by the Principal who also explained the various things about the city's trains to Fan Lin.
After reaching the Skyorder Star Ocean Academy and enrolling Fan Lin, the Principal left.
Fan Lin bade him farewell and promised to repay the loan for his spirit soul as soon as he can making the Principal chuckle at his statement.
With the Principal gone, Fan Lin took the grand sight of the Star Ocean Academy in his sight as he went towards his dorm.
The campus was full of beautiful fountains, well-groomed trees and shrubs, and numerous sculptures scattered in careful design.
Soon he reached his dormitory and in front of his dorm room. His dorm room was a small 3x4m room with two bunk beds, two study tables, a cupboard, some chairs, an attached bathroom and a window without any special protection.
"I wonder if anyone has jumped from here."
He muttered while peering through the window. Since he was a late admission and a child younger than most, he was assigned an empty dorm which was cleaned up before his coming.
'They said that I have the responsibility of cleaning my dorm room by myself from now on.'
Fan Lin thought while checking the cupboard for his uniform. The Principal had already sent his measurements a few days ago and the school staff said that his uniform was placed in the cupboard.
Fan Lin took a look at his uniform and wore it to see if it fits. Checking first won't hurt him anyways.
The uniform was black with stars embroidered, the signature look of Sky Order Star Ocean Academy. Each star symbolizes a soul power rank. The color of the stars are also significant: silver for undergraduate students and gold for graduate students.
Fan Lin looked at himself in the mirror.
"Emissary from hell, Fan Lin!"
'Now's not the time to joke.' [Fan Lin]
He self reprimanded himself and changed into his casual clothes. And yes, the uniform fitted him perfectly.
"My classes will start two days later. I have two days with nothing to do except cultivation."
[Then do it!]
"Guess I will go to the library and brush up my knowledge. I am a late admission, there is quite a lot that I have missed."
He said and went to the library after asking for directions from a few students.
[...]
Skyorder Star Ocean Academy's main school building was enormous. It stretched multiple stories into the sky, reaching about a hundred meters in height. A giant domed roof adorned the top of the building. The academy occupied the entire southwest section of the city and this big campus made him tired out before he could even reach the library.
....
Skyorder Star Ocean Academy was situated in the southwest corner of the city limits. The academy was established two thousand years ago, and though its history was not nearly as long or prestigious as Shrek Academy's, it was still a prominent, well-known academy.
This academy produced their fair share of geniuses, and since flying-type soul engineers were favored for military recruitment, they also had close ties with the military. Although soul engineers could fly using soul devices, those capable of flight through their own abilities dominated those who were not.
That being said, even those that did not have a strong martial soul could become powerful with the aid of soul devices. The advent of soul devices reduced the gap between ordinary and genius soul masters. Then, when mechas appeared, the playing field was leveled. Only when battle armor was created did talented soul masters regain superiority.
Skyorder Star Ocean Academy was a soul master academy that focused on producing flying-type soul engineers. As a result, they were famous in the Federation for producing excellent mecha pilots and military aces. With the support of the military, they had grown exceptionally fast, so much so that they ranked among the best of second-tier academies.
Fan Lin gently closed the book in his hand and gazed at the beautiful ceiling of the library.
'Duck!' [Fan Lin]
"I should have taken the Eastsea Academy over this." [Fan Lin]
'The Principal didn't say anything about this though.' [Fan Lin]
"I am so done~" [Fan Lin]
'If I am caught that is. I just need to keep a low profile and blend in with the crowd of background characters(students).' [Fan Lin]
"So the situation is still good." [Fan Lin]
Calmness returned to his eyes as he picked up another book and continued reading.
His mentality has obviously improved and so does his Spiritual power making him more stable and apathetic to anymore 'surprises'.
What's done had been done, it's not like he could change it at this point of time. With this way of thinking, he calmly accepted the truth and continued to hone his knowledge about more shocking things.
And just like that, two days passed while he read in the day followed by meditation at the night.
At his dorms that is. He was still in first grade and was not allowed to leave the dorms at night. Apparently Night curfew was a thing.
Two days later.
Morning.
Grade 1 Class 2 lecture Podium.
"Today we have the transfer student in our class that I talked about. He is a few years younger than you guys so behave properly and don't do anything stupid."
The class teacher of Grade 1 class 2 said to his class. All the kids repeatedly nodded their heads to show their acceptance with myriads of other thoughts in their minds.
The Teacher looked at the direction of the podium exit and called for Fan Lin.
As if cue, Fan Lin entered the lecture podium with his expressionless face and apathetic eyes.
"I am Fan Lin. Rank 11 Spirit Master. Martial soul Bluesilver Grass. It's a pleasure to meet you all."
The Teacher silently looked at the students. The students silently looked at Fan Lin. Fan Lin was silently looking at them.
"That trash martial soul?"
After a few moments of silence, someone couldn't help but say it out loud, representing the thoughts of all the students present in the room.
They all had the same thought, when did the Bluesilver Grass martial soul started producing a semi-genius.
It wasn't the Bluesilver king but a worthless Bluesilver Grass. How?
As for why they called Fan Lin a semi-genius, their Teacher had said so the previous day. It was something along the lines of : We are getting a genius transfer student who was able to reach rank 10 in a year with a troublesome martial soul and truly high Spiritual power.
And it was true as well, Fan Lin's 67 spirit power was something of a semi-genius feat to the backward Silverlight Town and its Spirit Pagoda.
Fan Lin locked the gaze with the student who asked him and made sure to memorize the face. You know, for special purposes.
"Yeah, it's just an ordinary Bluesilver Grass." [Fan Lin]
"Then how did you reach rank 10? How old are you?"
Another student asked. It seemed like the first student and the silence of the teacher had given the students 'some' kind of confidence boost as more eyes looked eager to ask their doubts as well.
"I am seven years old and I reached rank 10 through meditation." [Fan Lin]
Fan Lin calmly answered. The students weren't that calm though as his answer felt like he was mocking them like they didn't know about meditation and such.
"Seven? What was your innate soul power when you awakened?" [Random student]
"5." [Fan Lin]
Fan Lin answered again. This time only the teacher was a little surprised, the students were calm. Just in there class, there were many who had awakened with innate soul power of 7 or above and reached the rank 10 under a year as well.
Not just that, there were many rank 20+ among the students as well (Just 5). So why is Fan Lin called a semi-genius by their teacher?
"What's your first soul skill?"
Amidst the various doubts of the students, another student asked an important question.
The first soul skill was quite important for a Spirit Master as they just have a single skill to begin with. If it's bad, then a path full of hurdle followed them.
So maybe Fan Lin kid had a really good first spirit skill that was different than the others.
"Energy Meld." [Fan Lin]
Before he can continue though, another question was asked.
"What does it do?"
"It increases my cultivation speed on the ground surface by 40%." [Fan Lin]
'40%!' [Students]
"40%? What your first spirit soul? How old is it?" [Random student]
"It's a lump of Dirt. Ten year old spirit soul." [Fan Lin]
As he looked at the astonished faces of his new classmates, Fan Lin realised that the spirit skill that he deemed as weak might not be true.
"40%, with a ten year old spirit soul!" [Respected Random student]
"Have you ever practiced in a park or a place full of plants?" [Respected Random student]
As the student asked, the other students in the class chimed down and looked at him.
'Class monitor or something?' [Fan Lin]
"I haven't." [Fan Lin]
"What's your Spiritual power?" [Respected Random student]
"67." [Fan Lin]
"How much?" [Random respected student]
"67." [Fan Lin]
"Oh. That's high." [Respected Random student]
"Now now, cease your questioning as it's time for classes." [Teacher]
The Teacher stopped the 'introduction ceremony' of Fan Lin and told him to seat in one of the empty places.
Fan Lin gave him a polite nod and found a seat for himself.
The Teacher then started to teach about the mechanics of the Flying soul devices and their engine operations which totally went above Fan Lin's head.
Two days worth of reading books on political and historical knowledge didn't help him at all. But due to his high Spiritual power, he was able to jot down everything that the teacher was teaching into the notebook, except for the drawings since he didn't know how to draw.
As for when did his spiritual power rose to 67? It was in the retest. Three retests as his first spiritual power was coincidentally 99, then it dropped down to 72 on the second test and finally 67 on the third test which was conducted an hour later to let him fight the ensuing headaches.
Fan Lin was sure that if the Star Ocean Academy hadn't asked for his current and exact spiritual power, he would have never gone to the Spirit Pagoda to get his spiritual power tested until he reached rank 20.
Fortunately when the Star Ocean Academy got his spiritual power results, they directly transferred him from class 5(the lowest class) to class 2.
For them, his martial soul or cultivation base didn't matter that much since they have hundreds of students with better specs than Fan Lin.
What they focused on was his spiritual power.
Remember the first chapter where it was established that the schools of the various parts of the Douluo continent had a scrapped down version of the Mysterious Heaven Method due to the fact that students with low spiritual power will not be able to understand the original one.
The same was true for the Star Ocean Academy as well except they had the slightly scrapped version, original version and quite a lot of scrapped versions according to the different classes and grades.
Fan Lin has a Bluesilver Grass martial soul?
No problem, he has high Spiritual power and they have the better version of the Mysterious Heaven Method.
Fan Lin has low meditation speed?
No problem. The better Mysterious Heaven Method was obviously called better for a reason and of course it was better than the scrapped up version of the meditation method that he was using.
And he had a meditation speed improvement skill of his own and it was a higher tier one as well.
40% meditation speed improvement was something that even their best meditation rooms can't provide. They were limited as a maximum cap of 35% and was only beneficial to certain types of Spirit Masters.
Lastly they didn't lack the resources to support a single child who was sent by the Spirit Pagoda, their still have to maintain a good relationship with them.
Who didn't like the benefits that connections brought?
*DING*
"The class ends here. Make sure to review the things taught in class and help those in need." [Teacher]
"Student Fan, follow me." [Teacher]
The Teacher ended the class on time and took Fan Lin with him under the disappointed 😞 eyes of the students who still had a lot of questions to ask of him.
....
Teacher's Hall.
The Teacher of Grade 1 Class 2 took out a small book and passed it to Fan Lin.
"My name's Ming Tao. From now onwards, I would be your Flying soul devices and Mecha engineering teacher till grade 5."
"This here is a slightly modified version of the Mysterious Heaven Method given to the grade 2 but since your spiritual power is quite high, it's suitable for you."
The Teacher gave a small introduction of himself and asked another question.
"What do you want to be?" [Ming Tao]
"Stronger. I mean a Spirit Master. A powerful one." [Fan Lin]
Fan Lin uncertainly answered as Ming Tao's question could have quite a lot of different meanings and he didn't know which one he was asking about.
"Good aspirations but I was asking about your career choice?" [Ming Tao]
"..." [Fan Lin]
Fan Lin remained silent for a while thinking that answering carpenter might not be a good idea but what was a career that Soul Master had? Mecha guard? Spirit Pagoda envoy? Or was it the army?
"What career choices there are?" [Fan Lin]
Ming Tao nodded his head as if he had anticipated Fan Lin to ask that.
"That depends. If you want to be a Mecha driver or Battle Armour master, then there are four main career choice for you, Mecha Designer, Mecha Mechanic, Mecha maker and Blacksmith." [Ming Tao]
"If you want to focus on something else then there's Spirit Engineers, Mecha Pilot, Mecha guards and such." [Ming Tao]
"Or you can pursue cultivation as your main career and the rest would become secondary occupations." [Ming Tao]
Ming Tao explained the different occupations to Fan Lin in layman's terms only for him to ask this.
"Which is the strongest?" [Fan Lin]
"... The strongest would be the Battle Armour Master but keep that in mind that it takes a huge amount of resources and hardwork to become one." [Ming Tao]
"First you have to choose any of the four- Mecha Designer, Mecha Mechanic, Mecha Maker and Blacksmithing." [Ming Tao]
"Then you have to reach a suitable rank in them, about rank 5+, to even think of working on a Battle Armour. You would also need the help of others of the respective occupations." [Ming Tao]
"Lastly, you have to do this while you are cultivating, attending classes and focusing on your studies. You will need to pour in huge amount of money and time to succeed. And you have to start as soon as you can, time is of complete essense if you want to be a Battle Armour Master." [Ming Tao]
"How strong would I be?" [Fan Lin]
"If you become one, well just know that a Rank 60 Spirit Emperor can become as strong as a Titled Douluo (atleast that's what I have heard)." [Ming Tao]
"Oh!" [Fan Lin]
Ming Tao didn't know exactly what his words had ensued into the little boy who was fearing the Titled Douluos.
Fan Lin heard him talk about the Battle Armour and decided to self check about it later on. If whatever he said was true than Fan Lin knew what he had to truly focus on.
"But that's for the later, for now, you have to take one step at a time and choose a career option, focus on your cultivation and classes."
"Battle Armour is good and all but soul devices are easier to learn and create. You should go now as it's time for your next classes and if you have any questions or troubles, feel free to discuss with me or any of the teacher when we are free. Don't hold back, and don't endure if you are bullied or something. Tell me and I will solve it." [Ming Tao]
Ming Tao left for his next classes after saying that. Fan Lin also asked for the venue of his next class and hurried towards his class with thoughts full of Battle Armour.
