章節 77: Chapter 77: Lovesick

After her conversation with Natasha, Aubrey was in a pensive mood. With a glass of champagne in her hand Aubrey leaned over the balcony that she had found reprieve in a few minutes ago and let out a huge sigh. In fact, Natasha was partly right. Aubrey he didn't have much to offer Rhyland. Aubrey was an average person. She wasn't beautiful or talented nor did she have the money or resources that Natasha had at her disposal. 

The one thing she has is the only thing tying Rhyland to her.

'I only have my scent. Without this, what would I be to Rhyland? Nothing.' Aubrey thought morosely, downing her champagne in one gulp.

'I'm ashamed to feel this way but still I'm glad I have this to hold over him.'

'But when he finds someone he likes, my place in his heart will also disappear. He could just find another fae to keep his hunger at bay. It doesn't have to be me.' Just thinking of this pains her.
