章節 200: Chapter 200

Tsunade failed to recognize Carnes' playful tone and banter, so her frustration continued to mount.

She was unaware that Carnes was merely teasing her and adding to his own amusement.

Her anger added an unexpected layer to the already tense atmosphere.

The tension in the air, however, seemed to ease slightly, and the atmosphere became less charged.

The mood lightened considerably, offering everyone a reprieve which was an immediate improvement.

With Carnes assuring her and providing a guarantee, Tsunade began to regain her confidence, albeit reluctantly leaving Carnes' side.

Just as she had parted ways with Carnes, and before she could act on the plan, she found herself surrounded by Konoha's ninjas.

They encircled her with a resounding roar, eager to know Carnes' decision.

"Tsunade-sama, what was Carnes-sama's decision? What did he say? Did he agree to intervene and help us?" inquired one of the ninjas anxiously.

"He agreed," Tsunade replied, her tone reflecting a newfound assurance.

"But he still places his trust in Naruto."

Tsunade carefully chose her words before responding.

"Carnes has faith that Naruto can handle it. If he fails, Carnes will step in," she asserted.

"Naruto...?" questioned another ninja, a hint of concern in his voice.

"But what if he can't handle it?" he added.

"He is reaching his limits!"

"Yeah, I also don't think Naruto can endure much longer!" another ninja expressed his concern voicing growing unease among everyone.

Tsunade, struggling to reassure them, found herself at a loss, but still tried to explain it to ease their anxiety and offer them reassurance.

"Carnes believes that Naruto's true potential has yet to be unleashed. Trust him, you haven't seen the extent of his true strength."

While Tsunade tried to instill confidence and ease the anxiety among the ninjas, they remained skeptical.

It was a challenging situation, and Tsunade continued her attempts to make them understand. Nevertheless, they dared not question Carnes' decision.

So, the mention of Carnes brought a momentary pause to the ninjas' worries.

The ninjas, though reluctant, found solace in Carnes' assurance.

Despite lingering doubts about Naruto's capabilities, they respected Carnes' judgment and dared not question further, feeling it would be unwise and perhaps disrespectful.

"Since Carnes-sama is on board, we should trust in his judgment," remarked one ninja.

"Yeah, if Carnes-sama intervenes, Pain stands no chance!" agreed another one.

"But isn't that asking too much of Lord Carnes? Is it fair to burden him like this, to ask him to fight his own son?" questioned another ninja with a hint of moral concern.

"Yet, he's still willing to step up and help us. That, my comrades, is true greatness. A mark of a real man!"

Acknowledged a ninja, concluding the conversation with a sense of admiration for Carnes' determination.

With Carnes' guarantee, the ninjas reluctantly accepted the decision, finding solace.

While skepticism lingered about Naruto's ability to fight back, Carnes' words held enough weight to quell further debate.

In the end, they recognized the ethical dilemma of pressing Carnes further and conceded to the decision, Convincing themselves of the plan's viability.

It seemed that, in their strange way, their unusual thought processes had inadvertently yielded a silver lining.

Without it, Carnes might have found himself entangled in their verbal acrobatics, a prospect too daunting to fathom.

This may be the only benefit of their cooked brains coming up with useless theories.

Amidst the chaos of the battlefield, the Deva Path exuded an air of confidence, sensing an opportunity for victory.

With a crouch, a pleased expression adorned his face, an eerie calm settling over him.

"You're too young," he began, his voice carrying the weight of experience. "

"In this world, things unfold unexpectedly and suddenly."

"The reasons behind them often remain hidden until later. In this case..."

"Alright."

"Let's just chat for a while."

Deva Path spoke, trying to have a conversation with Naruto.

As Deva Path leaned in, Carnes exerted all his might into Observation Haki to its fullest in order to hear what the two were talking about.

The exchange between the two adversaries became more than just words; Carnes could discern nuances, anticipate movements but could only glean a thing or two.

It became apparent to Carnes that Nagato was about to make a fatal mistake as soon as Deva Path said those words.

He was well aware that villains, throughout history, had met their end due to wasting time by talking too much with the hero.

Now that the plot was already set in motion, this talk would surely bring about Nagato's downfall.
