The assistant checked the monitors, shaking his head.

"Terminate the procedure," Liang said coldly. "She's of no use to us."

The assistants exchanged uneasy glances but obeyed the order.

The electrodes were carefully removed, and the straps unbuckled.

The girl's limp body was dragged off the bed and laid on a stretcher.
