Tha'juen's eyes flashed in concern as he looked at the other males in the nest.
Was she going to kill Midnight? Did she not want him to be the one to provide his genes? Did she want one of the others?
He took a deep breath as his mind whirled through all of the different possibilities as to why she was demanding Midnight. He fingered the knife in the sheath behind his back. If she wanted the male dead, she only had to say the word.
He wasn't as good as the other males here; he knew that very well. He couldn't say the words that she needed; he had no idea how to take care of her or give her whatever it was that she needed. But he would kill for her. He wanted to kill for her. If only to prove that he deserved to be in this nest as well.
GA looked over at him and shook his head.
Tha'juen released his grip on the handle, but he still tensed, ready to defend his mate against the other male.

Devilbesideyou666 I feel like I need to clarify a few things...
This is not an omegaverse novel. She is not all of a sudden going to become a submissive Omega because she wants to get laid. That is not her.
What the Sisalik did to her was ramp up what she normally goes through in each cycle. (Not to mention, it makes sense in my head that Ethawainians probably went through a heat cycle since almost every other species did).
So, she is going to want to get laid, but she will be able to concentrate on other things, too... *insert smirk* After all, she does have a universe to take over.
