"Fuck," I walk out and Elijah is waiting for me at the door.

My hands are shaking at the outcome of the meeting. How could I have been so stupid to think that it would go the way I wanted it to go?

I thought they would want to get rid of the Nightshade Syndicate like I did. I thought they all knew better but they are all fucking cowards.

"How did it go?" Elijah asks just as Olivia walks into the living room of the main house.

My hands are still shaking and I don't know how to answer them.

"Fuck," I run my hands through my hair from the frustration of it all.

"What happened?" Olivia asks.

I sigh "We are on our fucking own. Fuck I knew this was a waste of time."
