"Your friends stopped by."

The door opens as Nathanial walks in with an accomplished smile on his face.

I sit up on the bed with a confused expression plastered on my face "What?" Brandon is quick to ask. There is an expression on Nathanial's face that I don't like and I can almost smell Lucas on him.

I glance at Brandon, concern and confusion evident in both of our expressions. Nathaniel's presence here is nothing short of unsettling, and the mention of our friends only adds to the intrigue.

"What did you do?" I demand, my voice laced with anger. My instincts are on high alert, and I'm ready to defend both myself and Brandon if necessary.

Nathaniel chuckles, his amusement infuriating. "Oh, nothing too drastic. I simply showed them the consequences of opposing me."

My heart clenches as a chilling realization settles in. "You hurt them?"
