It takes some time before I can gather the courage to move. I stay still for a while wondering if this is actually a good idea. I have always known that Lucas was a risk-taker but I am not. I like to do things by the books.

I don't break into packs.

He wants me to break into his pack to see if I can actually do it. This is just fun for him and it scares me completely.

If anyone sees me, if they find out what we are, it could be chaotic.

My phone beeps and I get a text from him.

Lucas: Come on Rivers, I am waiting.

As I stand there, contemplating Lucas's proposition, a wave of uncertainty washes over me. Breaking into a pack, especially one that is not my own, goes against everything I believe in. It's risky, dangerous, and could have severe consequences. The thought of being discovered fills me with fear and anxiety.

I take a deep breath as I talk myself into this, silently getting approval from my wolf.

He answers immediately.
