Lucas is quick to find an opening. He is quick to get us in, just like he said he would but I also feel like this is such a fucking waste of our time. I have been here a bunch of times, Remus was best friends with my father. If I had asked him for this favor, he would have let me come to his home. He would have helped me find the man we are looking for but Lucas fucking Blackwood just has to be a stubborn motherfucker and do things his way.

I watch as Lucas deftly navigates through the pack's territory, his movements seamless and calculated. I can't deny that he's skilled, despite our personal differences. But I still can't shake the feeling that this mission would have been easier if we'd just gone through Remus.

"Do you even know how this man even looks?" I whisper to him.

He turns to me with a 'Can you be any quieter' expression. "Yes. I have a picture. Can you just shut up?"
