"How is this going to work?" I ask him.

I understand why he wants to keep this hush-hush but at the same time, I have never been one to keep things from my pack. I have always been open about everything and now Lucas wants me to start keeping secrets.

"Just show me what I need and I will handle the rest by myself."

His words make it sound so easy but I can't let him handle this on his own anymore. I am now involved and all I want to do is get to the bottom of the Nightshade Syndicate and who is really behind it.

"We do this together or we don't do this at all."

In a million years, I never thought I would even have anything to do with Lucas Blackwood. This man is the most frustrating person I have ever come across and even though I am helping him with this, I don't think we can ever be cordial--let alone friends.
