章節 4: Preparations
The evening is coming and the tip of the darkness can be observed on the vast blue sky. When Chang Luo Chen looks up his eyes catches up a nice darker blue color that wraps the sky.
'Finally the time is right, as I take my first step on my path to cultivation in this 1000 mile journey, oh well immortality here i come!'.
Along with the darkening of the sky so can be heard to noises that encompasses the whole village. Hundreds of people grouped five by five in small circle areas, they make various noises of all kind like some form of bad singing, some recite poetry and some asks and answers questions.
They expressed a wave full of joy, clearly content with the hunting operation, and now we're ready for the festivities.
Each group went to the their invigoration place, basically the house that belong to the chosen member of their group.
After a few minutes Chang Luo Chen saw his father arrive, as he slowly approached him Luo Chen giggled happy of the parent arrive.
Seeing that joyful reaction from his son Chang Yu Xuan exclaimed happily, "ahh yes my baby boy, so happy even at the start of the night, you are very energetic, I hope you can be a great hunter just like your father".
"Hey first things first you need to train him properly, teach him the style of the hunt and let him obtain the hunt before you can make him a hunter" said Chang Xiu Ying.
"I know, my love" nodded Chang Yu Xuan.
"How was the hunt" asked Xiu Ying. "Not any different compared to the others, he he you can do anything with a good structured plan and some experience to make the fill" replied Yu Xuan confidently.
"Then let's prepare the festivities, I'll go to prepare the suplimentary for the hunt you and your team go and prepare the grill, because we are feasting tonight" suggested Xiu Ying.
"well you heard the lady, let's get to it" commented Yu Xuan.
As they prepared what was necessary for the beer and goods sacrifice festival, the table was slowly decorated with pints filled with beer and meat pieces sliced from various animal, they were grilled and condimentated, yes even a village with ordinary people had such things, clearly this is not a luxury.
When the preparation were finished the other members started declaring a speech.
"Well my dear teammates, we are the Tiger's Claw we growl at nature, we hunt the prey, we stay together strong and full of desire. Today we announce the festivity day representing the 45 anniversary on the 7 cicle, in honor of our member Chang Yu Xuan we celebrate him and his bravery, for he shall feed his family and bring prosperity to our Bei Hing village, Chang Yu Xuan we celebrate you, Chang Yu Xuan hooooray!"
"Chang Yu Xuan hooooray!" the other four replied as well.
"Thank you guys, you didn't need to do this" replied back Yu Xuan with fake modesty, clearly they did need to do it, it was part of the ritual after all and they did it every time.
After a small description of the hunt and more praises all the food was brought to the table.
The festivities were held outside, a large rectangular set of many tables positioned in a rectangular form as well, they were combined with each other forming a huge rectangular table that fit many people, primarily the people were the team members and their respective family. It was fully covered with tablecloth so one could not see the end side of each table.
As they eat and had their fill an important part of their conversation appeared, Luo Chen when that this was his moment.
"Then the arrow hit the deer right in it's forehead killing it in at instant, you know you can continue to praise me there's no need for patience" commented Yu Xuan arrogantly, he had the skills to back it up. "I hope your son will be as good as you" said a member. "Oh he will be I'll make sure of it" said Yu Xuan as he drank from his pint.
'This is my moment' tought Luo Chen and he produced a happy giggle, yes was his only weapon that will bring attention. The members observed this and gave his attention.
"ga ga pa ga" Luo Chen said is if he was trying to say something.
"Luo Chen what are you trying to say, do you want some meat there's plenty here."
"papa" said Luo Chen.
When he heard this Yu Xuan was full of happiness "se said papa, he said PAPA!!!, my baby boy first words!" screamed Yu Xuan.
"guys fill my pint we are not sleeping tonight!" exclaimed Yu Xuan, almost too excitedly.
"Our dear Yu Xuan you are too lucky, heavens favors you to give you such family!" exclaimed a member, the others continued with similar praise, clearly all of them were drunk, if any big event happened today they may instigate their kids too drink too, or course none of them was older than 10.
"Ahh I'm so happy for you dear, I hope the first mama will be just as sweet" said Xiu Ying, she was obviously happy for her husband, not a single trace of jealousy was there, after all for har family was considered as one, if her husband was happy, she was happy, if her husband was praised she was praised.
They truly loved each other and were very serious about their relationship, under such circumstances why would she be jealous, especially for such small matters.
The party continued and when Xiu Ying held and swinged her baby, he giggled and said "mama mama".
It goes without saying that the reaction was not any less inferior to the 'papa' reaction. It was full of chaos this party, the wives had to put a lot of effort the guarantee the lucidity of their kids, as they slapped away the pints from the husbands arms, they fell down as the beer spilled on the ground, more reactions less logically and more emotionally dominated the night, and yes they didn't sleep that night, well except for Luo Chen, he slept like a baby, he he, he was a baby after all.
As time went on so did the developments. Luo Chen continued to interact with his parents and drive all the conversations in his own favor, there wasn't need for much effort here, after all his needs, the needs his parents, and the needs of this village aligned together, yes everyone wanted a hunter, they are the blood of the village.
Strictly speaking they were the blood for everyone. Hunting offered food for the hunter and his family helping them to survive this high standarded life offered by the world, and a family survival is equal to the village survival, after all a village with no people was no village at all.
While the time passed, so did Luo Chen progress advanced. First thing first at 16 months he found a way to escape from diaper forever, by talking about the problem with a few words, it instigated the parents about his needs, so they teached him how to do it fast. He still made some mistakes intentionally, after all he couldn't appear too perfect.
Perfect was dangerous, and being in the spot light was a dangerous thing for someone like Luo Chen who has a precautic coward nature, each moment of spot light, of genius boy, of first place was equivalent to a nightmare that drove him closer to death, he needed to avoid these dangerous moments and ensure his safety as a first priority.
This is the logical thing to do after all who needed a dangerous reward, won't this reward kill you through it's dangerous effects. What is the reward even useful for when you're dead, when you're dead it's over, everything is over, all that hard worked throwed in the trash bin, all that you've gained won't have any value after you die.
With such logic, you abandoned all the previous safe rewards that you obtained, this can be considered no different than charity, and it's the worst kind of charity, it's charity towards your enemy.
He will steal all that he can get from you, even worse he might go after your family, after all who is going to stop him, who a dead body?
This is why keeping your life comes first, it's the thing of utmost importance.
Other than that, the other things Luo Chen gained is more experience with my body movement, I can now run, he has even better agility as he will not fall when he run.
Another training method that he had put importance on is directional training. In other words he trained his accuracy, by riping leafs in many small pieces and putted them on the table, he tried to hit them accurately without hitting close to them, it's like trying to hitting a nail at it's exact spot, increasing accuracy over many repetitions.
It started it a small distance until he could do it easily even at my arm length.
He continued to do his preparations and maximize the effect of his body skills. He throwed stones upward to two meters, until it left his field of vision and catched them when they fell down and was within arms reach, of course the training was done with one stone at beginning.
He exercised and committed to muscle memory the movements of his fighting skills from his previous life. They weren't little, he had 8 years of experience in boxing, kickboxing and kyokushin, and surprisingly he only needed 4 months to perfectionate them, it wasn't any inferior to his past life movements, which shocked him, even with more knowledge he still thought that it would take at least 2 years.
You also have to think of this, there were circumstances in his 4 months training. First he trained in all sorts of things not only fighting moves. Thanks to that he gained strength in his ligaments and he can do all sorts of difficult kicks, he trained reflexes, he trained mobility, and even stamina, which was still low, oh it still is, so he can only train for so much.
Clearly he was talented, and he was very happy with his results, yes these results where obtained by the time he became 2 years old. There is still time until he can be taken to the sect, because the minimum age of entry is 5 years old. The Crystal Pure Waterfall sect mainly relies on it's cultivators as it's main source of operation. They take the children from the villages under their domain and tests them to see if they have talent, once it's good enough they can join the sect.
Most of the cultivators in their outer area are young children and young teens, they are usually rank 1 and rank 2 mythical creatures, those in the inner area are at least 16 and are rank 3 mythical creatures, with the elders at rank 4 and the leader is at least at the peak of rank 4 possible even at rank 5. If the leader is at rank 5 then this sect is very successful and full of strength, after all the success of a sect is based on it's strength, this is very natural. Just thinking of his future Luo Chen was very happy, he can barely wait to join the sect.
