In the early afternoon, after the small party held by the Astraea familia. News came from the Loki familia, requesting an emergency meeting at the Hq in the city center.

I was a shocked hearing about the emergency meeting, because it was only ever called if there was extremely bad news.

Soon we were all geared up and left the Astraea familia manor to attend the meeting. Upon arriving at the meeting location, there were a ton of adventurers gathered from various familias. This made my heart pound in fear, because it was definitely looking bad right now.

The group of people gathered kept chattering with each other, making the place quite noisy. I escorted my goddess to a more comfortable area amongst the crowd.

Finn soon appeared and the crowd became silent. I was left wondering to myself when I would garner that level of respect but was drawn out of my thoughts when Finn started speaking.

"Thank you all for responding to the summons" Finn said before taking a deep breath and continued speaking.

"News just came from an investigative group that was sent to the dungeon. The evilus have sacrificed a god to the dungeon to bring forth a monster called the Nightmare, from the deep floors. It is currently forcing its way through the dungeon and is estimated to be stronger than a monster Rex from the deep floors" Finn said in one breath.

Silence was all that filled the area and the thick aura of despair quickly spread around. We had been fighting the evilus these past few days and lost a lot of people in the process, but now a monster that looks impossible to defeat is making its way to the surface. This was enough to break most people.

*Thump*

Someone fell to the floor, it seemed that she couldn't handle the news and fainted. I wouldn't call her a weakling as I hadn't lost anything yet to the evilus so claiming that I understand her would be insulting.

Finn seeing that this might trigger a domino effect to the rest of the adventurers. He decided to give a rallying speech.

"Adventurers of Orario, the time has come for our great adventure. The enemy might look strong but so are we together. The battle is not a hopeless one for we fight to secure the future of our city and avenge our loved ones taken from us by the despicable force called evilus. Rise to arms and steel your hearts for this is WAR!!!". The speech seemed to show of Finns charisma, the air became filled with life as most of the adventurers responded positively to his speech. This made the air electric with battle hungry adventurers ready to prove their might in combat.

"Who are we" Finn screamed as he wasn't finished yet.

"Adventurers" the crowd responded.

"What do we do" He screamed once more.

"Go on Adventure's!!!"

"And what do we do to people that take that away from us"…

"Kill, Kill, Kill" screamed the crowd as their morale was now at its peak.

I was just at loss for words on what just happened. Though I wasn't carried away with his fancy words, I could feel it from the ignorant adventurers around me. A lot of them were probably going to die.

Some of the actions I took with Finn when all this began had served to save the lives of many adventurers during our raid on the evilus base that was used a decoy to attack the city.

This made the casualties lesser than in the original story, well except the extra gods that died. Orario now had a lot more adventurers alive now, which would make anyone think that we had a better fighting chance.

This was true but the evilus plans would also change accordingly. I refused to believe that their plan revolved only around a strong dungeon monster.

A while after the whole pep talk with the adventurers, everyone got busy preparing for the final battle to end the evilus for good.

"How are the preparations going?" Finn asked.

"Most of it is done" Loki replied.

To prepare for the final battle, they had moved all the people into five different places. The guild headquarters, Ganesha familia home, the colosseum, the casino and the Twilight manor were the five major places of interest.

A massive ice wall had also been erected to surround the central part of the city, to protect it and babel as well.

Meanwhile at the Goibniu familia, a smith type familia that also handles construction in Orario. Ryuu was there to pick up her new weapon, crafted from the sacred tree of her home forest.

"The weapon is not yet complete, are you sure you need it now??" The smith asked.

"Yes, a big battle is coming up" Ryuu replied. The smith was reluctant to let his work go unfinished.

"Ok, but you must return for me to finish it" The smith said while barely handing the weapon to her.

"I promise, I will return" Ryuu said before exiting the premises.

On the top floor of the babel tower Ottar and Freya could be seen talking to each other about something important.

"Freya sama, please move to a more secure location" Ottar demanded in a serious tone. He had no idea what sinister means that the evilus might use so he decided to take a safe approach.

"Do you think that you would lose??" Freya suddenly asked. Ottar was confident in his abilities despite his earlier loss to Zald.

"No" he replied confidently to which Freya smiled.

"Then I will stay here and watch your fight" Freya replied.

Meanwhile at the Dragons den, home of the Bahamut familia at least what was left of it.

I sat on a box lost in thoughts, while stroking my tail. A new habit, I had picked up to relieve stress.

The past few days had been a wild ride. I needed sometime to think about the events that had occurred, and the best actions for me to take to secure my familia safety.

'The dungeon monster might just be a distraction, where is the safest place for my familia to stay while all this chaos is happening' I thought to myself while the other familia members were updating their status.

I had decided to go last as there was no rush. The raid would be happening tomorrow, early in the morning and the evilus seemed to be quiet for now.

"Draco nii, it's your turn" Dimitra said waking me up from my thoughts.

"Thanks, I will be there soon" I replied. I was sure that everyone had gained a decent boost in stats by constantly farming Excelia from the evilus.

I was also a bit tired from helping Asfi, Lyra and a couple of mages craft a few magic items to fight Alfia. I didn't stay to see the effects of the finished product but Alfia was in for a surprise.

Thinking long and hard, I decided to take my familia to the Ganesha familia home to assist with the defence there.

The reason I chose this was because, it looked like the least place of interest to the evilus at least compared to the city center. Some may call me selfish but my first priority will always be my familia.

I walked into the manor, looking around at how ransacked the place looked. It wasn't destroyed completely but it looked like some evilus came here for me and my familia. It was the right decision to move them when I did.

I couldn't imagine what would have happened if I left my familia members to defend the manor alone while I went off to play hero.
