章節 32: Chapter 32

On the way to the dungeon, we met some members of the Ganesha familia. They seemed on edge so I walked up to them to know what was going on. I recognized one of them so it wasn't strange.

"Hey Ardee, what's up" I said as her attention was drawn to me.

I had met the Ganesha familia many times on my patrol with the Astraea familia. I wasn't on best friends basis but I was at least a comrade with similar goals.

Ardee was different because she was a good natured adventurer and basically friends with everyone she trusted.

"Hey Draco, from the looks of it you heading to the dungeon" she said, cheerfully greeting back.

"Yea, got some new familia members, so taking them on their first dive" I replied.

"Hmm, be careful there have been a surge of evilus attacks lately. My sister said she is trying to find their hideout through various means" she said with her voice and face turning serious.

This news sent warning bells in my head. The time that Ardee died was during the start of the great feud in Orario. The feud would start this year so I needed to prepare for it.

Speed levelling my familia seems to take priority today.

"Please let me know when you intend to raid, here is my familias new residence. I will aid in purging the evilus from this city" I said righteously to which she smiled at.

"I will be sure to tell my sister that and remember be careful" she said before resuming her patrol.

I was happy because of being lucky, meeting her here and asking her to tell me when the raid begins would help me save her life.

It was very likely that I would be paired with her and those of similar level during the raid and even if I wasn't, I would find a way to make it work.

I wasn't saving Ardee because of a romantic interest but it was to appease my conscience.

Knowing a good person would die and not doing anything even if you could would probably plague my mind for a long time.

Saving her would make the Ganesha family a sure ally. Can't have too many of those.

"So, the evilus you talked about in your letters were true" said Nikolaos. The others looked a bit scared because I kinda sent a very descriptive letter of evilus back home.

"Don't worry and get stronger leave all the complicated stuff to me for now" I said which eased their tension a bit but it was still there.

Arriving at the dungeon, I gave them a quick review of what to do and what not. I was acting as a supporter to give them a chance to shine till I thought of an insane idea.

I remembered the time that I saved Lili, the walls that I made to funnel out monsters could work here. This way I would make them form a group of four each to battle.

The idea seemed feasible and reduced the risks also it was something that I could control. Though that would only be useful on the middle floors so I shelved my plans for now till they had enough damage to kill monsters of that level.

'Maybe using some shady powder from the black market to attract upper floor monsters' I thought. I decided against it for now, because It might attract more than they can handle or harm innocent newbies in the area. For now it would just be the basic dungeon farming methods, search, kill and loot.

The familiar blue walls now greeted my sight. I decided it was time to divide them into functional teams.

Michalis, Dimitra, Clair and Lili were paired together. Michalis used daggers, Dimitra used a bow, Clair used a spear and Lili used a cross bow. That was the best weapon that Lili could master in a short time. I was also training her in close range combat with daggers.

Then the other team was Nikolaos with a hammer, Vasileios with a sword and shield, Vasiliki with her magic staff, she was weirdly good in pole arts or was it called staff arts, and finally Eleni who used a flail.

Don't know why she liked swinging that thing but it did it's job. Well the teams looked balanced to me at least, so I summoned my grimoire and activated the wind rune.

The dungeon looked just as beautiful and deadly at the same time. I used wind tracking to locate a group of monsters that was far away from the other adventurer groups in the dungeon.

We walked for a while till we finally met with a group of goblins. There were 12 of them which was odd for the first floor but I didn't mind and let the first team handle them after-all they have trained a long time for this.

————————————————————————My name is Michalis black, a cat person beast kin. I finally came to Orario after passing grandpa's test with my other siblings and Clair a childhood friend.

Our brother Draco decided to go alone when he left home for the city saying that he needed to experience the world.

Draco had always been cool and had so many interesting abilities which made me sometimes jealous. He didn't look like any of us but he was still our older brother. He loved us and we loved him, that was all.

The training in our hometown was crazy but we endured it somehow. One day when I was swinging my daggers in practice. I cant remember how long that I had been swinging.

I reached an epiphany in my dagger mastery, my movement felt like a dance. It felt natural and before I knew it became a part of me.

I tried to explain to my grandpa and he said it was something rare but it happens sometimes. Similar things happened to my siblings but we just chalked it up to us being lucky.

After the test from grandpa which was crazy difficult we decided to go together instead of solo like Draco nii.

He had always been an oddball, having little to no friends since we were kids. He only trained and talked to the adults and us until Clair came.

I always liked Clair but she seemed to like Draco nii, so I somewhat gave up but till now they haven't had anything official, maybe I had a chance.

The journey to the city was long and gruelling, we also occasionally ran into bandits. We had to defend ourselves which meant killing.

Killing was a horrible experience but it was something we had to get used to. According to Draco nii, such things happen everyday in the city we were heading to.

It took a while to adapt but we eventually did and arrived at the city. After passing the gates we started looking around for Draco nii as planned in the letters.

He found us first and called out to us. Draco nii looked different from before, not in appearance but he felt like someone that matured after going through a lot.

We were soon introduced to the goddess of the familia that Draco nii talked about. We were a bit surprised to see someone similar to Draco nii, but we had been with Draco nii since we were born so the surprise didn't last long. It did make me wonder if Draco nii was a god too but that was just a passing thought.

Draco nii seemed to have doubts about us willingly wanting to join the familia, so he gave us other options. It was a bit disappointing but also relieving.

He always seemed like someone whose decisions were always right but it was nice to see him like this once in a while. So we laughed and officially introduced ourselves to the familia.

After that we were granted falna, I was surprised that the description of my skill explained the feeling that I got during training at that time.

My siblings and even Clair seemed shocked as they too thought the same as me. Why was something that was supposed to be rare happen to all of us. It didn't seem that it's was just luck in play or maybe it was and we were just being paranoid.

We had fun and got to meet new people with Draco nii especially that hot Kaguya girl. But don't worry Clair, I only have you in my eyes. Now we are in the dungeon and I am excited to begin my journey to be the greatest adventurer.
