I was sitting at my dressing table putting on my makeup. Once again I was preparing for another date. This time we were going to a high-end restaurant in the city. It was pretty amazing and the reviews were great. I picked a formal attire and Mom wouldn't stop fussing about the date.

I was currently at my parents' house getting ready for my date with Rick. I didn't want him to see me get ready for our date so I decided to go to Mom's place while he got ready at the hotel we booked and made the reservation at the restaurant. We had traveled and came here yesterday to enjoy ourselves and the city day bustle.

A knock on my door resounded. "Honey, are you done yet?" Mom's voice sounded from the other side of the door.

I groaned in frustration at her impatience. "Mom, why are you acting like you are the one going on the date?" I asked

"Stop it, I'm just happy my daughter is getting what she deserves," she said as she opened the door entering the room
