As a high school sophomore, Chen Chu didn't think he was anyone special. He came from an ordinary family and was an ordinary student.
Things didn't change until a local billionaire donated ten million yuan to the school to install air conditioning and build a teaching building and a sports field.
In front of the entire school, the billionaire affectionately put his arm around Chen Chu's shoulders, and the school leaders, teachers, and students were all astonished.
Chen Chu was dumbfounded and said, "Listen to me, my family is just an ordinary family, and I don't know any local billionaires! For real!"
The billionaire invited him out, and a luxury car fleet entered the neighborhood. The neighbors were all stunned, and they wondered how he had this kind of background.
Chen Chu explained helplessly, "Believe me, I'm just going out to eat!"
Suddenly, a beautiful woman in a luxury car came to him, and the car shocked everyone. When the woman hugged his arm and called him "Young Master Chen," he was stunned.
Others asked, "How do you explain the woman next to you? Didn't you buy her a car and a house?"
Chen Chu burst into tears and said, "The car and the house were bought by someone else. I have nothing to do with the woman!"
Others said, "We don't believe you!"
The municipal leaders came to inspect the school, and they kindly patted Chen Chu on the shoulder and asked about his study and campus life, inviting him to visit them.
Looking at the dumbfounded looks of the school leaders, teachers, and students who had just asked if he was just from an ordinary family, Chen Chu was stunned.
Teachers and students said, "How do you explain this time?"
Chen Chu was at a loss and said, "I didn't lie. I'm just from an ordinary family. How could I know these municipal leaders?"

寫檢討Pretty decent actually. The system itself is novel with hints of OPness, but the story is a slow slice-of-life with hints of fantasy with the system. I like how the face-slapping and nationalism isn’t over the top and very low-key (for now, at least). Chen Chu (MC) doesn’t seem too one-dimensional; just a regular person with ambitions who understands their place in society…well, until his system started acting up and providing him rewards for seemingly doing nothing (comedy from misunderstanding ensues). The rest of the characters are up in the air for now, but these characters are definitely sticking around for Chen Chu (read an you’ll understand). Again, this is a SLOW story without an established antagonist or goal, but it is occasionally entertaining and somewhat refreshing for its genre. Translation is like an 8.5/10, so well above standard trial reads. Give it a try…definitely not for everyone though.
Finally another well written novel. Lately I have encountered novels that were either poorly written, poorly executed, or had a comedy of errors due to lack of knowledge. So far (20 chapters in) the author has established a believable world and some what relatable characters. There's a relationship between two characters that is oo the edge of believability. But in light of recent developments and past history I can see it happening. There's a system involved but it is not overstated or overpowered. Some novelists would have the main character approaching superhuman strength by chapter 20. There would also be a face off against the first antagonist by this point. Not so in this novel. The author is taking a lighter approach. The MC is getting stronger but not ridiculously so. There's no aggressive or arrogant young master type seeking an early death. Instead we get to follow along with the MC as he figures out his system and comes to grips with a changing reality. You can't say how things will play out which is a refreshing break from the norm.
揭示劇透A fairly subpar novel. The main character comes off as a bit of a whimp who gets depressed at the slightest of things. Dude just awakened telekinesis and he feels inferior to a man with a little more paper. On a personal level, just don't find it fun that the MC lacks spine, no matter how "real" it may be. It may get better in the future, but the start of this novel isn't gripping enough for me.
Interesting story so far and hopefully the story is chosen to keep going. Side note is there a raw anywhere?
This is one interesting system novel. Usually the person in possession of the system has to do the system task and what-not but this system gave other people a 'sub-system' to please the owner of the main system. It's quite novel and fresh. I'll follow by and see if it's selected. If it is I will read up to 99 to determine if it's good to continue and push up another review~
揭示劇透Translation quality: superb. Nothing much to say here, really, other than that the prose flows like it was written in English originally. There are no obvious errors, and even the common ones caused by the webnovel backend are missing. Updating stability: trial read. These always release 20 initial chapters, then 20 more chapters in batches of five until they go on hiatus forever, so I can only give this a 3/5. I sincerely hope it gets picked up, though. Story development: unique in a good way. It presents a fresh take on the system novel genre, where two people have complementary systems. One person is assigned a task and both are rewarded by that person completing the task - except the person who benefits the most from the mission (the MC) is the one that didn’t receive it. In theory, it sounds like it should be overly complex and bloated, but in practice it works very well. Two things to be concerned about, though: there are already indicators of heavy nationalism and China STRONK! and spiritual power/cultivation tropes. I just hope that, in the future, this doesn’t end up becoming just another trash cultivation novel with strong nationalistic elements. But as of chapter 30, I’m only seeing hints of those (ancient martial arts proficiency and spiritual marrow-washing spring water, plus mentions of the technology blockade that’s being poorly enforced on China by “the west”). Character design: fresh. The MC is portrayed incredibly well, with his confusion at the seemingly random rewards from his system coming across as realistic and genuine. It’s in the early stages though, so as he develops that may change. The reactions of the small antagonists are exaggerated, and somewhat unrealistic because of those exaggerations. So I hope that trend doesn’t continue, but I won’t hold out high hopes for it. World background: urban standard. It’s a modern-day novel set in the real world, so there really isn’t much to say here. No amount of world building can ever top the world building done by Reality(tm).
This is a really funny novel. Actually one of the better novels translated recently. The comedy is natural and there is a strong sense of realism in the world. All actions are what can be expected from people in the situation. I highly recommend it and hope it gets chosen!
