"I saw you on the roof yesterday. It has gotten to the point that you guys even kissed, you got intimate," Cassandra said, her voice oozing with disdain and a touch of bitterness.
Darian, who was sitting with his back facing her, continued to sip his whiskey in silence. Cassandra, however, had no intention of letting him off the hook so easily.
"Oh, you're going to be silent right now," she remarked, her tone sharp and confrontational. The tension in the room was palpable as she scrutinized him for a reaction.
Darian finally set down his glass and turned to face Cassandra, his expression unreadable. "What do you care, Cassie?" he asked, his tone casual. "She probably won't remember any of this."
Cassandra crossed her arms, her patience wearing thin. "That doesn't change the fact that you broke our deal," she snapped. "I am the one you should choose. I played my part very well, but you, Darian, seem to be faltering."
