Oh no. Oh my goodness, no... This couldn't possibly be taking place. I don't know how I could have been so careless. 

What on earth was wrong with me? What was it that made me decide to just abandon my Ruby waistband right then and there?

In my defense, I simply hadn't had the opportunity to completely take in everything that was going on. In an effort to get a better grip on Cedric's body and prevent him from falling, I had dropped the item on the table. It was impossible for me to let his head strike the ground.

This meant that I had no choice but to retrieve those keys from Ben regardless of the circumstances. 

I had no intention of letting Ben know about it under any circumstances. 

After all, I was pretty sure I had a good idea about why he didn't like me. He would spare no effort to get back at me. 

I needed to formulate a sound strategy as quickly as possible as I didn't have much time to waste.
