I came here to make a new start. Starting again meant putting my job first and discovering who I was rather than entering another troubled Stepford relationship. That was resolved, then. I would go grab my lunch there, but only after warning Max not to enter my workstation in such a disrespectful manner ever again. And that it was an absolute accident when I merely slid his hand beneath my dress. Absolute slide. Unintentional.

"Sara?"

I glanced toward him as I heard the subtle, seductive sound of my name in his accent. He was perusing a large menu in his hands while sitting at a booth in the corner. He dropped it, obviously taken aback, but when he grinned I wanted to hit him for making me feel uneasy. In the dark interior of the restaurant, his features stood out even more. He now had a deadly appearance.
