章節 29: You can’t be serious!
As the first day of the tournament ,only half of the teams were left,excitement for the tournament was at an all time high
_At a nearby lodging_
Kuki and Hozuki could be seen sparring in the courtyard
"We sure kicked their arses huh?"Said Hozuki with a smug expression.
"Beating them was fun!"Kuki said with a strange grin.
Suddenly a voice rang out from behind them.
"Don't get cocky now, kiddos"
Hozuki and Kuki flinches upon noticing the presence behind.
It was Isane's wife,captain of the 1 division with her two representatives
"Ms.Wife!" The two boys let out a gasp.
"Don't call me something so embarrassing!" Said Isane's wife with veins on her forehead,suddenly her expression turns into a smirk.
"Anyways, with the prowess both of you younglings have shown so far,you'll never beat my team!"she said as she puffs up her chest and laughs.
"Hey!,we'll definitely win this tournament!"Hozuki boasted with flames in his two yellow eyes.Meanwhile his teammate,Kuki was quietly assessing his future opponents.
"Nuh uh, we'll be the ones winning the tournament!" said one of the first division's representative ,the girl with sky blue hair called Mizugetsu.
"Nuh uh,we're winning!"
"No!We're gonna beat you"
"Nu uh"
"Yuh uh"
"Nu uh"
"Yuh uh!"
The two goofball kept bickering for at least a solid minute.Until Isane stepped out of the lodging to check on his samurais just to find one of them arguing instead of training.
"What are you guys doing?"Isane lets out a helpless sigh.
"Oh,Isane!Perfect timing,tell your rookies that they ain't beating mine"Suzune said to Isane with a confidence exuding smile.
"Sorry to burst your bubble Suzu,but my two little monsters aren't going to lose a match anytime soon"Isane chuckled,causing Suzune to pout at her husband.
"Hmph,if they're really as good as you say,should i have a small sparr with them to see for myself "Suzune said jokingly.
"That's wouldn't be necessar-"
"Let's do it"
Kuki abruptly said in a monotonous voice,cutting Isane off.Shocking everyone,especially Suzune herself.
"You can't joke around like that kid,you know that I'm a samurai captain right?"
Suzune said while flabbergasted.
"Let's do it"
Kuki repeated as a grin grows on his face,effectively weirding the three first division's samurais out while Hozuki and Isane face palms.
"You still can't tone down that dangerous tendency huh"Isane signs.
"Hahaha,you're an interesting one,kid!"
"Fine,I'll sparr with you two"Suzune laughs as she draws her katana and takes a stance.
"Waittt,when did i said I'll participa-" "Cowardly redhead!"Hozuki tried to refute but was cut off with Mizugetsu's remark.
"I changed my mind,let's do this!"Hozuki instantly states out of spite for the blue haired girl.
"Come!I will only defend and counter,show me your best!"Suzune said in high spirit.
"Go easy on them…"Isane pleaded as Hozuki drew his katana while Kuki just stood there with a wide grin under his bandages.
