Returning to his chamber, Ivan noticed the young woman no longer sobbed out, and when he looked down at the arms that still held onto him, her grasp was still firm against him, but her eyelids were closed, making him realize she had fallen asleep on the way here. Dropping her on the bed no longer seemed possible, whilst he took his seat on his chaise lounge while she slept comfortably in his arms, her head resting comfortably against his chest.

Ivan grabbed a nearby blanket that was neatly folded and draped it on Samantha to shield her body from the coldness of his chamber. One would actually think he was nursing a newborn due to how he handled her like an egg that would break if he wasn't careful.
