Xander thought about it for a while and then asked, "You mean...a portal?"

The girl nodded eagerly. "Yes. Port...portal. You come from ring. You go back to ring. No stay here."

"How do these portals work? Did you create the portal which brought me to this tree?" Xander asked.

The girl shook her head. "Only des...desperate wish make port...portal. We only give fruit."
