"You can't do anything about it", Adam answered and continued eating his meal without bothering with Felicia anymore.

Mary felt pity for Felicia so she tried to coax Adam,

"They have been married for such a long time now, it will be hard on Felicia if you separate the both of them. And now you are going to make Adrian remarry her enemy? That is too much".

"I don't care", Adam simply replied.

From the tone of his voice, he wouldn't like to continue the conversation so Mary dropped the topic. He suddenly brought out an invitation card and placed it on the table. "The company has been nominated for the more profitable company of the year so we will head to the award show", he announced and everyone nodded in unison.
