Erika gently pushed the chair, but it made a lot of noise and it annoyed her even more. So she pushed the chair every ten seconds and kept her ears sharp to detect any of their footsteps if they were nearby. But the only thing she heard was their crazy laughter.
She continued pushing the chair until she was near the table, now the only problem was how to reach the ground and grab the bottle. Both her legs and arms were tied up. She huffed.
Erika then tried moving her legs but the rope only got tighter and tighter and it scraped her skin. She winced in pain but continued moving her feet towards the bottle until she got it.
She lifted her feet to throw the bottle up in the air so that it would land on her lap. Thankfully, her hands were not tied behind her back so she grabbed the bottle that successfully landed on her lap and used it to untie the rope.
It took quite a while to cut the rope because the piece of the bottle was just a small one. She loosened the rope and quickly untied the one on her legs as well.
Then she looked around the room she was held in. The place was so dark with only one window open but it was already dark outside so it was only the little light switch that was hung up on the ceiling that she could use as a source of light.
The door was already open, she quietly tip-toed to it to peek at what they were quietly doing. Their laughter had died down for a while now, she saw them lying on the ground with bottles of beer and food containers. Seems like they are having a little nap after dinner.
Erika counted them, there were four sleeping. "They were supposed to be five so where is the last one?" She asked herself. She needed to be extra careful especially now that she didn't know where the last one is.
She carefully searched each of their jackets to see if she could find her phone. She did, but the battery was drained. She still took it and carefully went around looking for the exit door.
"WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO?!"
"Damn it, that is the last one."
Erika halted her steps and turned around to see him. He was the one whose wrist she broke when they were running after her and he did not look happy at all.
"Go back inside," he ordered her. Erika was about to run away, but he held her by her hand and twisted it. She winced in pain. "Do you enjoy that? That was how you twisted my wrist, YOU BITCH!" He spat at her face.
This one seems to hold a grudge against her for twisting his wrist.
Erika endured the pain and kicked him in his forbidden area as he cursed. She saw the opportunity and ran from there. The last one called the others awake and they quickly chased after her.
Erika searched the area as fast as she could until she saw the exit door. She was outside but everywhere was so dark. The light coming from the moon was not enough for her to see anything, but she still ran. She heard the hoodlums coming closer x then she climbed a nearby tree quickly and hid in it.
From above, she looked down and saw them running past the tree heading in other directions. It was a good thing that Felix taught her tree climbing as well when he was teaching her self-defense.
She stayed there for a while because if she encountered them, she wouldn't be able to fight them off because of her scrapped legs and twisted hand. She was completely vulnerable at the moment.
Then she saw a moving headlight. It was coming from a car. No, cars. She smiled as she had finally found hope for a complete escape. She jumped down from the tree and ran to the car. She voiced out, "Help," loudly and it attracted the kidnappers.
The cars were still a little far away from her and she couldn't run toward it but she still tried.
"Well well Well, is our little princess trying to escape," that voice made her cringe. "Grab her," The leader ordered his lackeys and they jumped on Erika.
The first one that went forward held her twisted hand to drag her but she used her good arm and punched him hard right in the face and used her good leg to kick him back to the other ones. The force was enough for all of them to fall.
Thankfully, the cars were getting nearer. She ran more desperately towards it waving her hands and then BANG! Erika was shot.
The first car pulled up and the door flung open with an extremely angry Ethan who came out of it. He ran towards Erika, who was already on the ground.
