soon, it's afternoon and the final duel which determines the winner will be held, even MACUSA( like America's ministry of magic ) officials and many pure blood families in America has arrived to watch this duel as the participants are very important ones, one is the young lady of most powerful pureblood family in the country and the other is the to stop the dark lord and survived a death curse. they are all looking forward to the duel between these and regarded them as prodigies as won against someone older than them without breaking a sweat.
Alex and Cassandra entered the round stage which is specially made for a final duel, and there are many chairs and tables around them for using transfiguration and other magic. Alex smiled and said," you look beautiful miss vole, I maybe younger than but don't go easy on me or you'll lose". Cassandra scoffed and become more arrogant after those words.
they both bowed and pointed their wands , Cassandra fired spells like a barrage which Alex stopped with superior shield charm in a turtle shape, this is one of the modifications he learnt in his mind space after practicing against his own projection as it even broke the superior shield charm, so he came up this, this modification allow him to not only stop the spells but also reflect them at an astonishing speed.
sure enough as soon as the spells hit the turtle shield, the spells instantly reflected back and Cassandra hurriedly cast a shielding charm which is almost broken from those spells, seeing this Alex felt amused at the power of Cassandra. Cassandra didn't stop and used transfiguration to transform a chair into a pack of wolves which Alex countered by transforming a table into a tiger killing those wolves.
Cassandra smiled at this and used many chairs to transform them into cheetahs, hyenas and birds, Alex countered them by transforming the ground into glue sticking them there and he also transformed the surrounding chairs into warrior statues and Cassandra not to be undone did the same, Alex first killed the animals using the warriors and sent them towards Cassandra who countered using her own statues.
soon, the stage is filled with broken chairs, tables and deformed slabs, then they both send barrage of spells towards each other which are cancelled when collided with each other. this caused the wizard watching them to be stunned they couldn't believe someone younger than them were far more stronger and powerful than them.
the arena erupted with cheers as the duel rages on and many people are cheering for Cassandra while some girls are cheering fir Alex. watching this Lily and flitwick also cheered for Alex.
Cassandra felt she met a formidable opponent and looked at Alex with determination to win , she continuously fired all spells but those are cancelled when colliding with opponent ones. she even felt the other side is holding back his power and enraged she threw spells even fiercely this continued until she felt tired, Alex noticed this , then used multi cast to cast a reducto curse and 2 disarming spells and send them towards Cassandra who used protego, the reducto curse caused massive cracks on it and the first disarming charm broke the shield, then the second disarming charm to took out her wand.
Cassandra is surprised by this though she is defeated she felt it's not a big deal as she sensed the opponent more powerful and she stood her ground until her magic is exhausted. Alex smiled and came forward to give her her wand, though 11 years his height is same as her and Cassandra didn't know he is 11 year's old. she took the wand and said," next time I'll definitely defeat you, wait for it".
Alex chuckled and said," for a girl as beautiful as you it's worth the wait, I'll wait for you to become more powerful and beat me".
Cassandra didn't say anything but there is a small blush that disappeared as soon as it appeared, she maintained her arrogant attitude and come down from the stage, the arena appluaded them both and a middle man looked at the stage with a smile, he is Aron vole , Cassandra's father and the current lord of house vole, an old looking man is beside him who is watching Alex with interest in his eyes, he is Lauren vole , Cassandra's grandfather.
the president of MACUSA kale R. marsh who is newly appointed come to the stage with the cup, a parchment roll and a prize of 1000 galleons presented Alex with the rewards with a smile and congratulated him. madam Maxime and Laura Galindo approached Lily, flitwick and apologized to them.
Aron and Lauren vole approached Lily and flitwick , they congratulated him and invited them to their manor, though reluctant Lily agreed as she has maintain relations as the lady of Potter house. Alex soon came after meeting some MACUSA officials and saw the two men who are beside Cassandra before the duel is now chatting with his mother and flitwick.
Cassandra along with a woman who is older but identical to her also approached them and Alex went towards his mother, he then greeted them , the two men introduced themselves as Aron and Lauren vole and the woman beside Cassandra introduced herself as Evelyn vole , they told Alex about their invitation and Alex looked towards Cassandra who is has expressionless face.
