章節 19: Dream Beyond Dreams
Dylan continued to drift further in his astral form, going from dream to dream and passing through different dream cores. He came to understand that every dream was different, and the ones that were further beyond were even more complex.
Although Dylan was curious and had a lot of questions in his mind, his fear of being shunned kept him quiet for a while.
"The dream core never fades because dreams are completely outside the fundamentals of space and time; as a matter of fact, there are no laws that bind it, as it exists deep beyond a metaphysical realm. The faint void you felt was a part of it," said the voice.
"There are dreams that surpass dreams to the point that the dreams that are surpassed are seen as picture frames within the dreams that are above them," said the voice once more.
"Dreams are not equal... Either a dream is greater or less than another, and the lesser essence is unable to fathom the greater," said the voice.
All of Dylan's questions were answered in one swift moment, without him even asking. Dylan was shocked at how this was possible and how the voice was able to read right through him.
"How did you know I wanted those answers?" Asked Dylan, looking around for the voice.
The voice remained silent and snubbed Dylan's question. Dylan didn't accept this snub, as this time he would let loose.
"What's the meaning of this? Are you not supposed to explain everything to me? Did I ask to be here? You didn't even tell me who you were or what that tree was," Dylan said simultaneously in a pressured speech.
In the moment when Dylan expressed his annoyance and feelings, he didn't notice the speed at which he was drifting past endless levels of separate dreams. Dylan didn't notice this, for he had gone further and further beyond Infinite Dreams. Suddenly the voice said, "We have reached the Dream of Dreams, 'The Dream Nexus'."
Dylan stopped talking in the moment and found himself in a place that "no words could describe". "What is this? It isn't just the beauty of this place; it is the feeling it has, the feeling of this high warmth within me. I feel so comfortable; I feel happy," Dylan said. "So warm and welcoming, like a place completely free of suffering," Dylan added.
"This is the Dream Nexus, an endless dream, the house of an infinite ladder of dreams. Dreams are meant to be enjoyable and comforting, and since the Dream Nexus holds an infinite level of different dreams, it's the ultimate essence. It's also the fruit of the Morpheus tree, the keeper of all dream Nexus," said the voice in a bold tone.
"Morpheus tree?" Dylan asked.
Dylan then saw himself drifting farther and farther until he eventually found himself in the Dream Realm (the glass-white sand desert) in front of the white majestic tree he touched earlier. Dylan was astounded since he had now fully realized how enormous and magnificent the tree was.
"Woah, so huge and beautiful..." Dylan said.
