章節 82: The Kage Summit Begins

After the kage of all six great villages arrived, the kages of other small shinobi villages also arrived and headed towards the building where the kage summit will be held.
The great villages were not called 'great' themselves but by other villages who have recognised the power of that village and has termed it strong enough to be called a great village.
In this summit, the villages will be officially recognised as 'great' villages which would widen the strength of the great villages and the small villages because just the addition of 'great' in the name is worth a lot. People would contact great villages for missions rather than the small shinobi villages.
All the Kages with their subordinates entered the hall and settled into their respective seats.
The Six kages of the great villages settled around a round table facing each other with their subordinates behind them while the other kages of small villages a little further away.
Hashirama started the meeting by saying "I thank you all for attending this meeting. This will be the first step towards true peace in this world. We would start by discussing the major issues faced by the major villages, followed by issues by the minor villages and try to solve them. The main topic would be discussed later. Let the first kage summit begin."
The Tsuchikage stated the worries of his country and village "The land of stone is facing countless attacks from various rouge clans. They have destroyed towns, raped women and have done other atrocious things. The hidden stone is alone and not enough to deal with them all. I request that the other villages to help us deal with these clans."
"Hahaha. You can't deal with some nobody Shinobi clans and you call yourself a Shinobi village?" The Raikage mocked the Tsuchikage
'Yes fight! Come on fight! I want to see some action!' Yoriichi thought excitedly, unknowingly a smile broke out on his face seeing this.
Hanako saw the smile on his face and knew that her son was a battle maniac, she pinched him and gave him a serious look which translated into 'Behave yourself or you are getting spanked later.'
Seeing this, Yoriichi changed his expression to a serious look.
"Shut up Raikage. Most of these clans are coming from the land of Lightning. You have no right to speak about this." The Tsuchikage said
The two kages started bickering back and forth before Hashirama with his pressure made them quiet.
"Each village should deal with the clan that originates from their country. You can request help from other villages and if they agree you can co-operate with each other to deal with these clans." Hashirama said to which everyone agreed
Reto, the Kazekage next addressed the matter of his village "My village is suffering from lack of drinking water and food. The prices of crops outside of our village are drastically high. We need some fertile land from the Land of Fire. This is for the survival of my village."
"I can't give you any land. This decision is in the hands of the Damiyos of the Land of fire and not me or the Leaf. I don't think they would agree either. But I can negotiate with them to give the Land of wind a portion of the crops at a lesser price." Hashirama said
'Uncle Hashirama, you can create forests at will. Why don't you just help them?' Yoriichi thought
"Uzushiogakure can supply you with drinking water which can be delivered to you in storage gourds for free. We can also supply you with the crops at a lesser price." The Uzukage said
Everyone was surprised including the Kazekage at the offer of the Uzukage. They knew that Hashirama being a peace lover would definitely help the Kazekage.
But Uzushiogakure didn't have any relations with Sunagakure. So it was a suprise that the Uzukage decided to help them without any benefits.
The Kazekage happily accepted the offers of both the Kages.
'Grandpa is really clever. He not only gained the favour of Suna with this move but now Uzushiogakure would control the food and water supply of Suna. Thus, they would think twice before offending Uzushiogakure. They would also get Suna as an ally in future wars.' Yoriichi praised his grandpa in his mind.
The kages one by one put their issues while the other kages offered their solutions. The kages of small villages did not take part in this discussion.
The Raikage accused Uzushiogakure for robbing it's mines and stealing their valuable minerals which was kind of true as Uzushiogakure wanted to decrease Kumo's strength and increase their own in the process.
The mizukage too accused Uzushiogakure for stealing missions from their country and wanted Uzushiogakure to not take missions from the land of water.
The Uzukage though didn't care about this and refused the accusation from the Raikage as he didn't have any proof. While he taunted the mizukage by saying that the people of their country trusted Uzushiogakure more with their missions so they should just shut the fuck up.
Seeing this, Yoriichi gave his grandpa a thumbs up.
After the major villages were done discussing their issues, the minor villages put their issues forward and they were discussed.
And finally it was time for the main topic of the kage summit.
"Every village desires strength to protect themselves in times of war. I want to make every village equal in strength so that everyone thinks twice before starting a war." Hashirama said
He continued "We would give all the major villages a war deterrent in the form of tailed beasts."

章節 83: The Mizukage's Plight

When Hashirama said that he would give all the major villages a war deterrent in the form of tailed beasts that he had captured, most of the minor villages kages were surprised and jealous as they didn't know about this. They all wanted a tailed beast which would protect their village in times of war.
The kages of major villages and one or two strong minor villages like the kage of the village hidden in the waterfall knew already about this and were not surprised much.
The tailed beasts which were to be given were already decided. But with the rise of Uzushiogakure's strength it all changed as they now would also be getting tailed beasts.
The meeting was to decide which villages would have to give up on their tailed beasts for Uzushiogakure.
The Kage of the village hidden in the waterfall had an expression of pain as it was already decided that his village would have to give up on seven tails as it would now be given to Uzushiogakure.
He had sent some mercenaries after the Uzukage to at least make them late to the meeting so he could propose that Uzushiogakure did not care much about tailed beasts so his village should get one instead of them but it was all for naught as the group had been dealt with easily.
Hashirama continued "The tailed beasts that have been confirmed to each village are Nine tails which would be given to my Village, the hidden Leaf. Eight tails and two tails would be given to Kumo, Four Tails and five tails would be given to Stone, One tails to Sand and Seven tails to Uzushiogakure."
"One of three tails or six tails would be given to Mist and while the other to Uzushiogakure." Hashirama finished telling everyone which tailed beats each village would be getting.
"This is ridiculous why should my village give up on the tailed beasts. Stone and Kumo are also being given two tailed beasts. Why not take one from them instead of us?" The Mizukage angrily shouted
"Lower down your voice Mizukage. Your village is weak compared to us. That's why you are only getting one tailed beast." Raikage said
"Your village is also constantly fighting with Rock and Uzushiogakure which contradicts my vision of peace so you don't deserve two tailed beasts. If you have a problem then speak to me." Hashirama said while giving him a death glare
The Mizukage earlier demeanor instantly took a 180 turn as he lowered down his head.
"Oh damn" Yoriichi muttered under his breath
Yoriichi gave a silent thumbs up to Hashirama.
'The goofy uncle Hashi can really be scary as hell.'
"Fine, Uzushiogakure can have the three tails." Mizukage looked at the Uzukage and said with a reluctant tone but he was speaking with someone who had mastered the Dao of shamelessness.
"We would be taking the six tails and not the three tails." Uzukage said confidently
"This is preposterous. We are already compromising with you and giving you a tailed beast. Now you want the stronger tailed beast? You might as well just take entire mist's wealth." The Mizukage said sarcasticly.
"If you are willing to give your entire wealth to us, who am I to refuse?" Uzukage said with a greedy expression on his face while rubbing his palms.
"Youuu...." The Mizukage lost it and if he didn't know that the Uzukage was stronger than him, he would have already attacked him.
He suddenly had an idea and then proposed an idea to the Uzukage "Let's do this. Let our subordinates decide the fate which tailed beasts our village will get. We will each send three of our subordinates against each other. The winner gets six tails while the loser gets three tails."
Uzukage knew that if it was a match between his subordinates and the Mizukage's, Genkai and Hanako would easily beat their opponents and securing their victory. He was about to agree to this but Yoriichi interrupted him.
"Grandpa, we are already destined to get six tails. Should not we also be getting some compensation for winning in such a stupid competition? Otherwise we would be making a loss." Yoriichi said as he winked to his grandpa
"You brat, You should shut up when adults are talking or else.... ..." The Mizukage was about to threaten Yoriichi but he was interrupted by a strong pressure.
All the subordinates of Kages jumped in front of their kages with their weapons in hand except for Leaf and Uzushiogakure.
The Mizukage had sweat covering his entire back as he looked at the blade pointed at his heart which was just one inch away from killing him.
The sword was Muramasa which was in Yoriichi's hand which had extended at an extremely fast speed towards the heart of the Mizukage.
Everyone else was surprised by the pressure coming from such a young boy which was equal to the presure of a S- rank Shinobi.
'Such a young boy having the power of a S rank Shinobi, truly frightening.' thought the Tsuchikage
'We should have dealt with him sooner during the time of the tournament. He would now become a troublesome foe for our village.' thought the Raikage grimly.
The Mizukage on the other hand was feeling the terror of coming close to losing his life.
In the movement of anger, he let his guard down and would have lost his life.
"Yoriichi, you should not scare old people like the Mizukage here. What would have happened if you accidentally killed him or gave him an heart attack?" Uzukage reprimanded Yoriichi but to the ones who heard it, it was clear he was making fun of the Mizukage.
