Ivy observed Katherine attentively. The latter's shoulder lowered, relaxing as she pondered about Ivy's offer. Katherine leaned back, keeping her eyes fixed on Ivy.
"Hah!" A short chuckle escaped Katherine. "Miss Ivy Wei, you surely are gutsy. Did you seriously think I'd bite that offer? That's tempting to you? Oh, I must have overestimated you."
The corner of her lips curled up into a smirk, eyes glinting malevolently. "Let me tell you something, Miss Ivy Wei. I can get you out of the picture without angering Dimitri. One of them is the one I mentioned a while ago. If you go out, there were at least three dead bodies from the earlier attack."
"Dying during times like this is normal," she continued. "So, if you are found dead and mutilated, it would surprise no one. All I have to do is injure myself a little, and they would have believed the intruders attacked me and killed you."
