"If that's what my lady wants, then shoot me. Follow your heart's desire. Kill me, Ivy Wei."

Ivy's eyes blazed as Dane taunted her, holding the pistol in the middle of his forehead. The side of his lips curled up fearlessly, eyes shining in amusement. She clenched her teeth, which made her jaw tighten, swallowing the lump in her throat. 

"You disgust me," she hissed before snatching the pistol from his forehead. "Killing you is easy, but if that is what you want, then I won't give that to you."

Ivy rolled her eyes as she disassembled the pistol, pausing as she caught the single bullet in the magazine. She could tell that the firearm was loaded just by its weight. After all, during the time she was so obsessed with Dane, she did a deep dive into firearms and even learned how to use them. Assembling, disassembling, cleaning its parts, and precision in marksmanship were all the skills she learned and could now do with her eyes closed.
