If Primo was out of the picture, Heaven would've sentenced Paula without dragging this to this extent. Her plans for her demise were easy. Something that would make Paula forget about acting altogether, or simply for her to regret betraying the person whom she claimed to be her sister, her family. 

But Primo suddenly came and changed everything.

What made it worse was that the man approached Paula, thinking he could go closer to Dominic. If the new soul wasn't in this body, she could imagine just how close this man could've gotten in such a short time. 

After all, Primo was already living in the same building even before he let himself known to Heaven.
