CHAPTER 3: FOR A GIRL?!
TWO DAYS LATER
Raygaard had once again found a way to sneak out of the Castle. He was roaming in Helios. Wedam was still hospitalized and Raygaard had handed his bo-staff to a weapon smith for repair. The time to retrieve it had arrived. Soon Raygaard was at the workshop.
"Is it ready yet?" he asked.
"Good as new. I made the few modifications you requested. You really are a kind kid Raygaard. I wonder what your father would say if he found out what you've been doing for everyone in Helios" the Weapon smith said.
"I hope he never finds out. He'd probably perform a mass execution if he found out. Thanks for the repairs" Raygaard said as he picked out the staff.
It was wrapped in brown paper.
"Wedam's gonna love this!" he exclaimed as he headed for the hospital.
Soon, he stood at the entrance to Wedam's ward. Ryanne was trying to dissuade him from entering since his presence might upset Wedam.
"Don't worry Ryanne, the same way you girls bond by going shopping, having parties and watching silly romantic drama is the way we guys bond by fighting especially if it is a fight between Diibagura. Trust me, Wedam will be happy to see me" Raygaard said with a confident wink.
"I'm not sure I should be doing this" Ryanne said as she opened the door.
They walked in to find Wedam performing vigorous push ups. He was sweating profusely.
"Seven hundred and ninety three…seven hundred and ninety…" he was counting when Ryanne landed a terrible blow to the back of his head.
He fell on the bed.
"You fool! You should be resting instead of stressing yourself! Get back in bed before I do something I know I'll utterly regret later!" Ryanne glared at him angrily.
"OUCH! Is she a girl or a monster?!"Wedam exclaimed in pain.
"What?! Did you just say something?!"Ryanne growled with a scary glow in her eyes.
"N-No ma'am!" Wedam quickly said.
"Ryanne, I think you are the one that's rather going to end up upsetting him" Raygaard laughed.
"Shut up Raygaard! You are still on my list for making me heal you twice on the same day so don't go making things worse for yourself!" Ryanne roared.
"Aiiee! She really is a monster!" Raygaard shivered uncontrollably.
"Mm-hmm!" Wedam agreed silently.
"Hey, you're Prince Raygaard aren't you? You're the one that defeated me. Damn! I've never lost to anyone before!" Wedam suddenly became upset.
"Don't take it to heart. The only reason I fought you was because you challenged my dad. If I didn't do that, you'd have been killed by my father's Galagan army in no time" Raygaard said.
"So…you did that to save me huh?" Wedam said.
"That was only half the reason. I wanted to fight the strongest guy in Helios!" Raygaard laughed.
Wedam stared at him in surprise.
"But you're the new champ now" he seemed depressed.
"You haven't been able to grow in strength because you haven't found any challenge yet. You should find someone strong and measure yourself by his strength. Nothing to help you grow like some healthy rivalry" Raygaard said.
"Fine then…Raygaard, I challenge you to become my eternal rival!" Wedam declared.
"Whoa there champ, isn't that a bit sudden?"Raygaard asked in surprise.
Ryanne had left to attend to some other patients.
"No, I want to become strong enough to…defeat Gilgamesh and also…" Wedam turned away suddenly.
"And also what?" Raygaard asked.
"Well…you see…there's this girl I like but she's from an important family in Helios and I'm considered an outlaw because my father was banished by Gilgamesh. We can't be friends because it could affect her family's standing in Gilgamesh's royal court of pain. If I want to win her love, I've got to make a name for myself too ya know?" Wedam explained.
"You really look up to your dad, don't you?" Raygaard asked.
"Yep! He's my hero. He challenged Gilgamesh and stuck to his beliefs until the very end" Wedam said.
"Wedam. This girl…she wouldn't happen to be a certain June Blackthorne now would she?" Raygaard asked.
"No way" Wedam muttered while glaring at Raygaard threateningly.
"What?" Raygaard asked.
"You're in love with her too aren't you?!" Wedam roared.
"Ppppppphhhhhh! Hahahahahahaha! Hehehehehehehe! Haha! Me…in love with June?! That's one lousy theory you came up with right there!" Raygaard laughed.
He just couldn't stop laughing.
"You're lying! What a conceited laugh!" Wedam roared.
"I think there's a little misunderstanding Wedam. Only one word could possibly describe my relationship with June and it's "infinite distance"; summary, "indifference". Now I'll give you a little advice. The devil isn't as scary as hell itself. Think about what I just said and don't say later that I didn't advise you" Raygaard whispered and laughed some more.
"I'm relieved to know you're not after my girl" Wedam sighed.
"Ppppppphhhhhhh! Ahahahahahaha! He just said…!!! If you want to become stronger to win June's love, you're definitely on the right track. Just don't die before then" Raygaard said amidst new waves of laughter.
"What's so damn funny?!" Wedam roared.
"Sorry, I just thought I heard you call June 'your girl'. You just said…Ahaha! He just said June's his girl!" Raygaard laughed.
That was the last straw. Wedam pounced off the bed and gave Raygaard a nice little punch to the face. Fortunately, all of Raygaard's nerves were in high tickle mode so much that they overrode the pain. Raygaard fell to the ground and clutched his gut while laughing himself to his heart's content.
"Stop with the freakish laughter! It's scary and unsettling!" Wedam roared.
Raygaard chuckled.
"You're still laughing? You won't even dare to strike back?!" Wedam yelled.
"No, I think June will avenge me" Raygaard said.
"What was that?!" Wedam growled.
"Oh nothing. I'm just talking to myself" Raygaard said.
"That's good then" Wedam sighed.
"If you're planning to win June's heart regardless of any circumstances, you'll need this" Raygaard tossed the parcel to Wedam.
"What's that?" Wedam asked as he tore off the paper.
It was his staff except it didn't look as worn out as before. Remade out of the finest bamboo in Helios, it was very flexible and nicely polished. It also bore the insignia of the Morticon House, the Gorillagan.
"Amazing! You modified it! It's got my family emblem now!" Wedam exclaimed in excitement.
"I see you like it. For a while there, I was concerned you were going to beat the crap out of me" Raygaard said.
"I've heard rumours of your kindness Prince Raygaard. I'm glad to have experienced it first-hand. But I will also tell you now that some people believe that your kindness will be your undoing" Wedam warned Raygaard.
"I appreciate your honesty but I don't plan on becoming anything like my dad" Raygaard said.
Wedam smiled.
"Great, so are you feeling alright?" Raygaard asked.
"I heal faster than most people" Wedam boasted. "Besides, that nurse Ryanne healed all my injuries. She still insisted that I needed rest but I hate being confined. If it was up to me, I would have been out of there a long time ago".
"Then let us go see June. I think you should at least introduce yourself to her" Raygaard said while playfully attempting to punch Wedam. Wedam caught his fist in the palm of his hand.
"You'd do that for me?" Wedam seemed surprised.
"Sure, but don't call it a favour. Call it my 'revenge'" Raygaard laughed.
"Whatevs, let's leave right now! But by the way…what do we do about Miss Monster?" Wedam asked.
"You mean Ryanne? Well if she catches us…like it's said amongst humans…we don die" Raygaard said.
"So how are we getting out?" Wedam asked.
"Hmm hmm hmm hmm, can't you guess?!" Raygaard chuckled cunningly.
"Through the window? But we're on the thirtieth floor for crying out loud!" Wedam scolded Raygaard.
"That's why we're Super Ascended Endriginians. Don't forget we've got arrow-tails. Besides, you know we can increase the length of our tails by controlling our emotions. Just think about that emotion that makes you feel strong. I'll go first" Raygaard said as he drew the curtains and shut his eyes.
He focused his emotions and his tail grew forth. A sly smile spread across his face and before Wedam could move, he was out the window. His tail stretched out from behind him and pierced the side of the building creating a firm grappling hook. Raygaard landed on the side of the building and ran to the ground. In a moment, Wedam was beside him.
"So what did you think about?" Raygaard asked him.
"June" Wedam admitted. "And you?" he asked.
"Defeating my father of course!" Raygaard declared as a look of intense determination momentarily flashed across his face.
"Now let's be off before Miss Monster catches us!" Wedam suggested.
The boys laughed as they headed out. Unfortunately for them, they ran into five Galagans down the road that resembled humanoid lizards and Raygaard's hood wasn't on.
"Wait a minute…aren't you Prince Raygaard?! What are you doing here?!" their leader asked.
"What do we do Raygaard?" Wedam asked.
Raygaard reached into his cloak and pulled out twin scimitars.
"We fight of course! My dad's goons never listen to reason" Raygaard said.
"What?! You plan to fight us?! Have you so soon forgotten how many times you've lost to us already?!" the Galagans laughed.
"Yeah, it's about um…Wedam, what's three hundred and sixty five times ten?" Raygaard asked.
"WHAAT?! YOU'VE LOST TO THEM THREE THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY TIMES?! A LOSS EVERY DAY FOR TEN YEARS?! YET YOU DEFEATED ME SO EASILY?! JUST HOW STRONG ARE THEY?!" Wedam began to panic.
"Don't sweat it, you're probably even stronger than they are" Raygaard said coolly.
"Say that after you defeat us!" the Galagans roared.
"Yeah, I'll do that. Wedam, we're friends right?" Raygaard asked.
"I guess so" Wedam said.
"Then don't you ever repeat what I'm about to say to anyone! Galagans, the only reason I ever lost to you was…I was never really interested in fighting…but today, I'll show you just how strong I truly am! Wedam, the move I'm about to use, never tell anyone about it!" Raygaard roared as he suddenly flashed past the Galagans and sheathed twin blades.
All the Galagans collapsed to the ground.
"Impossible! You could have defeated us all along! Why didn't you?!" the Galagans roared as blood gushed from their wounds.
"I never considered you my adversaries. My only target is…the Sword Master Gilgamesh…my father" Raygaard said.
Wedam stared in shock.
"What terrifying speed! All I saw was a silver streak, like a comet" Wedam thought to himself.
"Let us go Wedam" Raygaard said.
The boys left the scene.
Soon they arrived at the base of a mountain. At the top of the mountain was a mansion.
"June lives there. Are you ready?" Raygaard asked.
"Wait! What am I going to say to her?! I look nothing like her type of guy!" Wedam said.
"Uuuuhhh, why don't you start with 'can we be friends?'" Raygaard said with a funny expression on his face.
Wedam nodded.
"That sounds reasonable" he agreed. "What would her parents think?!" Wedam began to panic again.
"It's up to June. Can we go now?" Raygaard began to get irritated.
"Do you have any advice for me?" Wedam asked.
"Just one and it's actually a warning. If June mayhaps utters a phrase like 'Drop dead', just listen to her and avoid any more trouble" Raygaard said with a smirk.
"More…trouble?" Wedam looked perplexed.
"Let's go" Raygaard called to him.
The boys snuck into the Blackthorne compound by scaling the walls. As it happened, the entire mountain belonged to the Blackthornes.
The dismaying sound of terrifying growls began to issue forth.
"Wait a moment Wedam. The family house of the Blackthornes is protected by a Galagan. The great beast Kerberos. Think you can handle it?" Raygaard asked.
"Heh! As long as it's not June's lovely pet" Wedam said confidently.
"Actually…it is June's pet but it's not so lovely" Raygaard said.
The growls seemed to draw closer and closer, then heavy footsteps were heard.
"What do you want?!" a stern sinister voice called from behind them.
The two boys turned around and beheld a terrifying sight. A gigantic black three-headed dog with flaring nostrils and blazing bloodshot eyes was glaring angrily at them.
"Hi Cerb, this is Wedam. He wishes to be June's friend" Raygaard said cheerfully.
"Then you know what that means don't you, Wedam Morticon?" the Cerberus said.
"What's he talking about and why does he know my name?" Wedam asked.
Raygaard cleared his throat.
"As part of the Blackthorne family tradition, any gentleman who wishes to court a lady of the Blackthorne house must first defeat the guardian of the family. In your case, it's Cerberus" Raygaard said.
Wedam glared angrily at him.
"TCH! You knew this and didn't tell me?! AND YOU CALL YOURSELF MY FRIEND?!" he roared angrily.
"You didn't ask!" Raygaard laughed.
"And tell me how the hell I was supposed to know to ask whether I'd have to confront a beast?! Our deal is off! I'm telling him your secret! Hey Cerb! Do you know Raygaard…"
"Wait! Wait! Don't say anything!" Raygaard pleaded.
"If it's about his accursed swordsmanship, I already know" the Cerberus said angrily.
"Really? How?" Raygaard asked.
"HOW COULD YOU FREAKING FORGET?! EXACTLY FIVE YEARS AGO, YOU CHOPPED OFF MY LOVELY WHISKERS! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES A CERBERUS TO GROW ITS WHISKERS?! FIVE FREAKING CENTURIES!" the Cerberus roared angrily.
"Oh really, did I? I'm sorry but I can't remember" Raygaard laughed nervously.
"THAT'S IT! I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE BLACKTHORNE FAMILY TRADITION THAT SAYS I SHOULDN'T ATTACK FAMILY FRIENDS! I'M GOING TO FRIGGIN' KILL YOU!!!" the Cerberus roared as it swung its paw in an attempt to flatten them.
The two boys leapt out of the way. The Cerberus' paw crashed into the ground creating heavy cracks.
"DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO MAKE IT MAD YOU IDIOT?!" Wedam scolded Raygaard.
"I'm sorry Wedam but you'll have to fight it on your own. It is your trial after all" Raygaard said as he leapt unto the roof of the mansion with full knowledge that the Cerberus wouldn't dare to attack him there.
"Yeah, just leave it to me" Wedam said as he pulled out his staff and spun it overhead.
"I guess I'll have to deal with you first!" the Cerberus said as it released intense flames from its mouths.
Wedam spun his staff with such great force and speed that the Cerberus' flames were completely repelled. Raygaard watched the scene. Wedam charged towards the Cerberus.
"I don't think so! Take this! DESTRUCTION GALORE! PART ONE, THE APPETIZER!" the Cerberus roared as it launched a flurry of paw attacks in an attempt to flatten Wedam but Wedam was extremely agile. He dodged the attacks with ease.
The Cerberus soon became frustrated and paused its attacks.
"Don't tell me it's over already!" Wedam taunted it.
"NO, PART TWO, THE MAIN MEAL!" the Cerberus roared as it suddenly smacked Wedam with its tail.
Wedam flew into the air and crashed into the ground.
"UGH!" he groaned and shook his head trying to shake off the daze.
"How do you like that?! I call it the Tail Of Infinity! You brats dared to mock my whiskers. No one has ever done that and lived to regret his actions!" the Cerberus roared.
Wedam stood up.
"Well, I think I'll live and honestly speaking, I don't think I'll regret! If I beat you, I'll finally be able to get close to June!" Wedam declared.
"Keep dreaming brat! You'll only stumble into an even worse nightmare!" the Cerberus mocked.
Wedam spat out some blood and wiped his lip.
"I'll take my chances. Oh, and one more thing, the person who chopped off your whiskers…was he aiming for a Mohawk?" Wedam mocked.
Raygaard slapped himself on the forehead.
"You idiot! You just changed the situation from bad to diabolic!" he roared.
"YOU FRIGGIN' BRAT! YOU MUST HAVE A DEATHWISH! WELL LET ME SHOW YOU THE SHORTCUT TO THE AFTERLIFE! I'LL KILL YOU, CRUSH YOUR BONES, THEN I'LL BURN THEM AND THROW THEM INTO THE SEA! IN SHORT, YOU'RE FINISHED!!!" the Cerberus roared in a rage as it charged towards Wedam baring its fangs.
Wedam prepared to attack but suddenly, sharp whiskers grew out of the Cerberus' cheeks and targeted Wedam. Wedam twisted his bo-staff and sharp scythes came out of its edges. With these, he sliced off the Cerberus' whiskers.
"I thought you said it took a Cerberus five centuries to grow new whiskers" Wedam complained.
"THAT'S WHAT WE CALL DRAMATIC EFFECT YA BRAT!!!" the Cerberus roared as a new set of whiskers sprang out and headed for Wedam, "IT'S OVER KID!" it roared.
"Don't you dare underestimate the bloodline of the Morticon! I was just warming up but I'm sick of your wisecracks! You know what?! Your attitude stinks, your breath reeks, your eyes…they're pretty damn cool but I'm sick of your face and like the Arabians say, I'll chop off your ears 'cos I don't like your face but that's not the point…" Wedam continued to rant as his energy began to surge. "The point is…I HATE YOUR VOCABULARY SO I'LL END YOU!" Wedam roared as his body suddenly changed.
He assumed the form of the humanoid Gorillagan. The Cerberus stared at him in shock. "You can awaken?" it stammered.
"Yes…and now let me show you the power of the Morticon Gorillagan. RISING PUNCH!!!" Wedam roared as he delivered a massive uppercut to the jaw of the Cerberus. The Cerberus collapsed to the ground and Wedam reassumed his original form.
"Watch your words next time. Morticons are not friggin' and we're certainly not brats" Wedam sneered.
Raygaard began to applaud.
"You idiot! You call yourself my friend but you didn't even lift a hand to help me!" Wedam roared angrily.
"Well, I did tell you it was my way of avenging myself did I not?" Raygaard chuckled.
"You idiot! Check the proportion of damage to retaliation! They're way out of scale!" Wedam roared.
"What a temper. Perhaps, you and June are meant for each other after all" Raygaard said in an unperturbed manner.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Wedam questioned him.
Suddenly, the doors to the mansion began to open slowly. Raygaard leapt off the roof to stand beside Wedam. Wedam stood staring at the door with wide eyes.
"Who are you stranger?!" an angry feminine voice demanded an answer.
At the entrance stood a thirteen year old girl whose hair was the colour of a lion's mane. She was fair in complexion, her skin more of a golden colour and she wore golden armour.
"Wha…? June's an amazon?!" Wedam exclaimed in shock.
"Uh-huh" Raygaard nodded with a look that showed that he was enjoying himself.
Wedam looked at Raygaard as though he was about to cry.
"Raygaard…you've killed me" he said.
Raygaard burst into uncontrollable laughter.
"Don't you dare laugh Raygaard?! The two of you storm into my house, beat up my pet and you dare laugh in my face?! Whose idea was this?!" June roared.
"His" Raygaard pointed to Wedam.
Wedam hooked him by the collar.
"When I'm done, I'll pay you back in full with compound interest!" he growled angrily.
"Well…I'm waiting? Who was it that beat my pet?" June roared.
"I did. I'm sorry. I was informed that it was the only way I could befriend you" Wedam said apologetically.
June walked towards him slowly, her armour rattling like war drums. Wedam began to shiver.
"You want to be friends…with me?" June said as though she was teasing him.
"Y-Yeah?" Wedam said with minimal confidence.
"So you defeated my Cerberus didn't you?" she asked.
"Uh-huh" was all Wedam could say.
"And why may I ask…do you want to be friends with me?" June said with a cunning smile.
It seemed like she enjoyed psychologically torturing Wedam.
"Well it's because…I love you" Wedam confessed.
Raygaard looked as though his soul had left his body when he heard that. He shook his head slowly.
"From diabolic to hopeless" he muttered fearfully.
June seemed surprised.
"You love me? But you hardly know me. Besides, aren't you being too straightforward. Women prefer to remain in suspense until romantically swept away by the Prince of their dreams but…you just dropped it flat" June looked disenchanted.
"My dad said it's a good trait to be honest. I believe him and though it's the harder path, it's the one I believe in and the one I wish to take" Wedam said.
"Do you want to know what I think?" June asked.
"Aiiieee! It's coming. The nightmare is about to start" Raygaard shivered as he began to walk away.
"Yes, I do" Wedam said seriously.
"DROP DEAD! THAT SOUNDS LIKE A DREADFUL WEDDING PROPOSAL!" June roared as she aimed a blow to Wedam's face but Wedam blocked at the last moment.
June's blow however sent him flying. He crashed into a tree, knocking it to the ground.
"She's got an even worse attitude than the Cerberus" Wedam muttered as he rose to his feet.
"No one weaker than I am is worthy of my friendship!" June roared.
"Now I understand the Blackthorne family tradition. The ladies in the family have such a rotten attitude it takes a stronger man to conquer their hearts" Wedam said.
In a flash, June had landed a blow to his face. Wedam fell to the ground.
"What do I do? I can't hit her" he wondered.
"I see you're one of the men that think ladies are so weak you mustn't ever raise a hand against them" June said.
"That's counter psychology. This girl's asking to be hit?!" Raygaard realized.
Wedam felt a sharp blow to his spine. He groaned in pain.
"I can't hit a girl" he muttered and then a kick sent him flying.
He crashed into another tree and fell.
"This girl is a monster" he muttered.
Then suddenly, his life began to flash before his eyes. He saw his father before him. He could see himself as a young child playing with his father's bo-staff.
"Hmm, I wonder how you will grow without a mother. You might not be able to handle ladies in the future. Okay Wedam, I'll teach you the dos and don'ts of courting ladies!" his father said.
"What's courting dad?" Wedam asked.
"It's when you want a girl you like to like you back. Okay Wedam, in dealing with ladies, there are three basic things:
Never hit a lady, not even when she slaps you.
If she punches you, she is basically asking to be hit so hit her back.
If she insults you, insult her. Like my favourite musician used to say, 'do me I do you, man no go vex!'" Wedam recalled his father's words.
Wedam smiled and stood up.
"I can't believe I forgot Dad's words. This girl falls into category two" Wedam thought.
June charged towards him preparing to deliver another blow. Wedam waited till she was close then he moved out of the path of her punch and aimed a blow to her gut. His blow crushed her lower body armour and hit her in the gut. As she reeled over, Wedam clasped both hands together into a tight fist and slammed it on her back hard crushing her rear armour too. June fell to the ground.
"Aiieee!!! Wedam! What are you doing?! Don't provoke her!" Raygaard screamed.
June stood up looking dazed. Wedam walked away from her.
"What happened? DID YOU JUST HIT ME?!" June roared.
"Something like that. That is…if you can call that a hit" Wedam said.
"WHY DID YOU HIT ME?! DIDN'T YOUR MOTHER TEACH YOU ANY MANNERS?!" June roared.
"Unfortunately, I never knew my mother so I had to learn everything from my dad. 'If a girl hits you, then she's basically saying treat me like an equal.' That's what my dad used to say" Wedam said.
"Who was your dad? Who are you?" June suddenly seemed shy.
"I am Wedam Morticon, son of Raeioun Morticon" Wedam introduced himself.
June seemed shocked at first.
"Why didn't you say so earlier, then we could have avoided this embarrassing scene. I knew your dad. He was best friends with my dad. I'm sorry about what happened to him" June said with a genuine smile as she stretched out a hand to Wedam.
Wedam seemed surprised at first but he gathered the courage to approach her. He held her hand.
"I never knew that my dad was friends with yours" Wedam said.
"They go way back. In fact…I'm betrothed to you" June confessed.
"WHAAAAT?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Wedam exclaimed in shock.
June nodded.
"Then I guess…that makes Raygaard a true friend" Wedam laughed.
"Come in, I'd like you to meet my parents" June invited.
Raygaard let out a sigh of relief.
"I'm glad things didn't turn out as badly as I suspected" he said as he walked into the Blackthorne mansion.
The inner part of the mansion was painted a golden colour similar to the colour of June's hair. The walls had paintings of the Blackthorne family totem, Leon X.
"Wow, you guys really favour Leon Xs don't you?" Wedam asked.
The Leon X was a mighty creature in many ways similar to the lions of earth. They could be considered the lions of Endregen.
"Yeah, do you like them?" June asked.
"I admire Leon Xs for their regality. My dad told me that there are similar creatures on earth called lions and even on earth they are considered the kings of the jungle" Wedam said.
June smiled.
"You know what? I think we'll be good friends after all…unlike some gutless people I know" June scoffed as she glared at Raygaard.
"Hey, you're talking about me aren't you?! That's not fair!" Raygaard roared.
"Says the guy who can't last three minutes against a girl" June said.
"That's because…I just can't bring myself to hit a lady even if she's as strong as I am" Raygaard said.
"Really? Last I heard, you always lose to the Galagans your dad pits against you. You haven't won a single match in ten years. Your weakness disgusts me. How do you hope to rule Endregen like this?!" June accused Raygaard.
"So you're basically saying I should be more like my father is that it?! Well let me tell you…I hate everything about my dad!" Raygaard roared.
"What's all that noise?!" a stern voice sounded and the sound of heavy footsteps approaching could be heard.
Soon, a muscular man clothed in scary looking armour stood before them.
"Dad, these are my friends…" June was saying when her father interrupted her.
"Wait a minute, I'd recognize that face anywhere…you're the spitting image of my eternal rival, Raeioun Morticon! Are you his son?!" June's father exclaimed in excitement.
"Yeah, I'm Wedam Morticon!" Wedam introduced himself.
"Well I've got a few questions…firstly, have you dated another girl besides June?!" June's father asked.
"No" Wedam answered.
"Secondly, have you secretly loved any other girl besides June?!" June's father asked.
"No" Wedam answered.
"Thirdly, can you perform a stronger awakening than June?" June's father asked.
"Why are all your questions revolving around June? Is this supposed to be a questionnaire which ends up with June as the prize?" Wedam looked bored.
"Answer the question boy!" June's father said with a scary glare.
"Fine, this is my awakening…" Wedam said as a huge aura engulfed his body.
His muscle mass began to increase till he transformed into the humanoid Gorilla. The Gorillagan!
"Impressive! Even your awakening is the spitting image of your father's plus you have complete mastery over its consciousness. Congratulations Wedam! You are a worthy son-in-law!" June's father said.
Wedam transformed back into himself.
"That means nothing unless it's June's choice to become my wife in the future" Wedam said with crossed arms.
"I don't particularly have any objections except for the fact that we hardly know each other" June said.
Wedam smiled.
"We've got plenty of time to get to know each other" he said.
"You're right" June agreed.
