章節 17: Hunt Monsters to Earn Experience Points!

Northern Forest

"Woosh!" A shadowy figure leaped from one tree to another, moving with the swiftness of a strong gust of wind.

Soon, the figure halted at a tree trunk and rested his hands on the bark while surveying the surroundings.

"It should be here..." The figure removed its head hood, revealing a handsome white-haired teenager with blood-red eyes—none other than Allen Frey!

He glanced down and spotted several black-colored wolves, each with a body twice the size of a horse!

"There they are!" Without hesitation, he leaped down from the tree.

As the tree was a towering twenty-five meters tall, he adjusted his body to fall headfirst with his legs upward, accelerating at an extraordinary speed!

"Fire Magic: Fire Spear!" With a snap of his fingers, ten long fire spears materialized from the swirling air around him.

Swiftly, he swung his hand towards the wolf pack and whispered, "Go!"

In an instant, all ten spears were launched toward the black wolf pack at an incredibly high speed!

Sensing the impending threat, the wolf pack swiftly turned their heads upward and beheld ten twinkling lights hurtling towards them!

"Auu!!!" The largest wolf in the pack, seemingly the leader, let out a loud roar, commanding the others to evade the attack!

In response, the wolves roared back fiercely, preparing to shift their footing and dodge.

However, Allen, having anticipated their response, refused to let them escape so easily!

"Earth Magic: Gripper!" Allen opened his palm and clenched it tightly, causing a hand to emerge from the ground beneath the wolf pack.

The hand firmly grasped the legs of all the wolves!

"Auuuu!" The wolf pack leader roared relentlessly, urging the wolves to exert all their strength to break free from the grip on their legs!

Despite their efforts, it was all in vain.

The grip on their paws was incredibly strong, and the speed of the ten spears made it impossible for them to evade!

"Shooot!" The spears struck with precision, piercing the stomachs of the wolf pack, including their leader.

"Boom!" The spears then transformed into a ball of fire, instantly incinerating them all!

"Auuuuuuu!" The wolves roared in agony, but within a few seconds, their cries ceased as the intense flames charred their bodies and fur, leaving behind nothing but black ashes.

Allen observed the aftermath with a smile on his face.

Three meters above the ground, he employed wind magic.

"Wind Magic: Float!" He repositioned his body as before, and a gentle breeze supported him from underneath, allowing him to lightly touch the ground with his feet.

"Being a beginning-stage True Mage is indeed advantageous!" Allen chuckled, noting that his mana usage, which was once extravagant at the Origin level, had become much more frugal.

Soon, he watched as the wolf packs turned to dust and nodded approvingly.

"This is pretty good!" Allen smiled contentedly, then called out to his panel.

"Panel, active!" He whispered, and soon the holographic panel materialized before him.

--------------------------------------

Immediately, he noticed that his experience had increased by eighty points, just as it had in his previous life.

(Note: The meaning of the same is that the way to raise the class level is the same as in the previous life.)

In order to level up each class, he needed to hunt and defeat monsters.

However, as the class level increased, additional conditions had to be met, besides killing monsters.

Having access to the panel made it easier for him to estimate when he could advance to the next level, a distinct advantage compared to others who lacked this benefit.

And the system converts the names of experiences into experience points, which makes it easier to understand.

"However, the points I earned were really meager." He sighed, realizing that it made sense considering the monster he had slain was merely a low-level one.

Taking a deep breath, he calmed himself down.

"It's okay because I've just started!" He muttered lightly, preparing to continue his hunt.

"Roaaar!"

However, he suddenly heard an incredibly loud roar from the direction ahead.

"This aura... it's from a high-level monster!" A delighted smile formed on his face, and he swiftly vanished from his current position, moving as swiftly as the wind.

Five kilometers away from where he defeated the wolf packs, Allen concealed himself in a tree.

From there, he witnessed a colossal bear, towering at seven meters in height, locked in a deadly battle with a massive ten-meter-long snake.

The two powerful creatures clashed furiously, wreaking havoc on their surroundings as they fought to annihilate each other.

"High-class monster, Crazy Black Bear!" Allen directed his gaze at the bear.

The name "Crazy Black Bear" stemmed from its nature of indiscriminately destroying its surroundings, making it an unpleasant sight to behold.

Immediately, his attention shifted to the enormous snake, and he exclaimed in surprise, "Mystery-class monster, the Grython Snake!"

"How could it be here?!" Allen frowned upon seeing the snake.

Indeed, there was a reason for his surprise.

Grython Snakes were known to inhabit hidden places like desert caves, whereas this location was a dense forest, making its presence puzzling.

"However, what puzzles me the most is how can the snake be at such a great disadvantage while the difference between the two monsters' levels is so significant, despite being only one class apart?" Allen mused, stroking his chin as he carefully analyzed the ongoing fight between the two monsters.

He observed that the Crazy Black Bear consistently took the offensive, appearing to have the upper hand, while the Grython Snake assumed a defensive stance, seemingly at a disadvantage.

As if it was protecting something.

"Wait!"

"Protecting something?!" Allen gasped in shock as this realization struck him.

He focused his eyes, scanning the area around the Grython Snake to identify what it was guarding.

Unfortunately, nothing was immediately visible, so he pondered again.

"If it's not near the snake, it must be close by!" A swift conclusion dawned on him, and like the wind, he vanished from the scene.
