章節 13: Distribution

  "Hello? TMY? Is anyone there?"

The person in question was holding her phone, wide-open eyes staring at the notification she had just received.

She was staring at an e-transfer of 30,000 yuan.

Sent less than a minute ago, by Yang He, for an amount of 30,000 yuan...

"Are they normally so considerate?" Tang Miaoyi didn't know what to say anymore, she had never expected that a Director from Light Cloud would sponsor her directly.

Tearing her gaze away from the button to claim the deposit, Tang Miaoyi typed, "Director Yang, do you trust me so much already? Aren't you afraid that I won't pay you back?"

 Ding~

 The reply came quickly.

"I don't have any doubts. You will have 1 million in your account next month, not including royalties. If I don't believe in you, it's the same as not believing in my own company's resources." Yang He's reply was gracious, but professional. "And the cooperation between us is not comparable to this little 30,000 yuan. It should be regarded as a part of your 'salary' in advance. And, since you responded with such sincerity, doesn't that demonstrate your trustworthiness?"

"Thank you." His response set her heart at ease, and she quickly deposited the 30,000 yuan into her wallet.

Light Cloud is a respectable business and is acting as such.

Although it is mainly investing in the future value she can provide the business, Light Cloud's approach also fully demonstrates the magnanimity that a leading company should have.

"Also, this is the contract, you can have a look at it first." Yang He sent the contract he had gotten drafted over to her.

 Tang Miaoyi: "Okay."

"It's done then. I'll let you get back to your day, TMY... When you finish the video, just email it to me. I want to thank you for our partnership, on behalf of the company."

Tang Miaoyi replied with a smile: "It's a quid pro quo. I'll send over the signed contract as soon as I finish reading over it if none of the terms are disagreeable."

"Thank you for your cooperation."

The conversation ended here, both sides getting what they wanted.

After finishing the conversation, Tang Miaoyi relaxed back in her chair and stared off aimlessly. This had all happened so much faster than she had anticipated, she hadn't expected to sell the rights to any of her songs until she at least had a full EP already!

But this calls for celebration. And so, she got up, walked to the entrance of her room, closed her door, and moved to the front of the dreaded closet.

Opening it, she stood still for a few seconds, taking in the sights. Colourful shirts, dresses, pants and skirts all lined up in rows hung in front of her. some of which she vaguely remembered wearing, others she had no memories of.

She picked out the one she remembered the most. It was a light blue rib-knit t-shirt, that went down to her belly button, leaving a small sliver of skin exposed.

This was the first shirt she had gotten (or her predecessor, anyway) after her mother had moved out. She vaguely remembers being upset, but it's not like it was 'her' mother anyway.

But she had gone shopping alone, to prove she didn't need an adult, and it had worked. Her confidence had grown, and she had been able to take control and go out more frequently, and the shirt had since become a symbolic item for her.

She carefully took off her pyjamas she was still wearing, and put on the shirt. Much like the school uniform, it was surprisingly more comfortable than she expected, fitting snugly around her upper body.

She picked out the least revealing pair of jeans, and stood in front of the mirror.

(A/N whoever thought of ripped jeans can DIE)

Shock!

She was stunned by how good the outfit made her look. The light, almost pastel blue of the shirt matched the light blue of her hair almost perfectly, and the darker navy of the jeans added a nice contrast to her look, while not diverting attention away from her shirt.

"This actually isn't so bad."

She began trying on some of the other clothes, nothing too revealing of course. The first shirt was as far as she was willing to go on that front.

Some combinations she liked, others she liked less so. There was one particularly bad one where she tried on a pink shirt, and bright red leggings, which obviously didn't turn out well. Her hair colour clashed with both the pink and the red, and even the shirt and pants themselves conflicted, as they drew attention away from each other.

Speaking of which, why is her natural hair colour blue? No one pointed it out to her, so she figured it was probably normal, but she hadn't met anyone else with blue hair, or any abnormal hair colour now that she thought about it.

Maybe it's just another quirk of this world. it's not like it would be the only one she noticed so far, so it's not so far outside the realm of ordinary to assume blue hair could exist naturally. Who knows? Maybe all the hair colours of the rainbow exist, and she just hasn't found them yet.

Her mind began to wander as she was changing, and she began to settle into a trance like state.

So much so, that she didn't hear yelling from outside her door, or the footsteps walking up to it...

Creek~

"Miaoyi! Dinner is re- ready..."

Qiuying walked in just as Miaoyi was taking off a top...

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

The nightlife had just started at this moment, and when Tang Miaoyi was "showing off" to An Qiuying, the famous Meiye Club in Shanghai was almost open.

"Damn." In the DJ lounge, Huang Liangqing sat up from the sofa sharply, and pressed the headphones closer to his head with a shocked face.

"What the hell...is this really electronic music?" Huang Liangqing murmured to himself with a difficult tone. Feeling the voice filling his ears, he took out his phone and looked at the screen.

  "Fox" - TMY.

Huang Liangqing is the head DJ of this club, and it's not long before the performance.

Normally, he conducts a self-rehearsal in this lounge, to practice his set so he doesn't make a mistake after he officially takes the stage.

  But just a few minutes ago, one of his DJ friends shared a song with him and left a message;

"Listen to this before you perform or I swear to god I will come over there and **** ***** on your ******* and **** ******** until you c-"

It continues like this for another paragraph.

As a fairly good DJ, although his friend does not have the ability of a producer to make songs from nothing, Huang Liangqing trusts them enough to know good music. He didn't expect to be completely blown away by it though.

As soon as the music sounded, a melody that was so simple, yet filled with intricate complexities hit his ears, that made him rethink his performance for the night.

'I need to get the rights to play this song.'
