章節 12: Chapter 12: Attending the Party.
Bella was stunned but shook her head as she believed Neo was just messing with her when a notification appeared before her eyes.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at that stat, then at Neo, not able to believe what she was seeing.
The highest she ever heard in humans was 15, and that person was crowned as the "Luck King" among humans in the whole tower. If he was a king, then what about Neo?
She shuddered and thought about what sort of monster Neo was. But that thought passed as soon as it came, as she had been with Neo for like 7 years now and there was nothing about him that hinted that he was not a human.
"Perhaps, you are blessed by the Luck Transcendent?" Bella said slowly, but not so much that Neo couldn't hear it. He was stunned by what she said.
If that is true, then what about his other stats and his classes as well? Did every Transcendent turn their attention toward Neo and put a hand of kindness over his head?
'Did they?'
{Don't be an idiot. If they do, I will cut down that hand. We are self-made not out of someone's pity.}
Neo nodded and said, "No idea why it is so high. Perhaps all the luck of my previous 19 years got accumulated by this skill." He joked as he took a turn and arrived before an enormous gate that was at the entrance to the [Noble District.]
Nevra City, like any other city, was divided into three portions: the Noble District, the Commercial District, the Residential Area and the Recreational Area.
There were guards standing before the Noble District Gate as they checked every car and person before letting them in. Soon, it was their turn.
Neo slid the windows down as the guard asked, "A resident, sightseeing, or any other business?"
Bella took out a card and passed it to the guard. The guard checked it before giving it back to Bella and said, "Enjoy your stay."
After which, the gate opened and Neo drove in. As Neo and Bella entered the Noble District, the scenery changed drastically. The streets were wider and cleaner, lined with well-manicured trees and hedges. The buildings were grand and opulent, towering above them with their intricate designs and ornate details. Neo couldn't help but feel a bit intimidated by the sheer scale and magnificence of it all.
The air was filled with a pleasant fragrance of freshly bloomed flowers and the sound of birds chirping. The people walking on the streets were all dressed in luxurious and fashionable attire, their demeanor confident and proud.
Neo noticed that the roads were paved with smooth cobblestones, and the streetlamps were made of fine metal with intricate carvings. The area was well lit, giving the streets a warm and inviting glow.
The mansions and estates were surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains, adding to the grandeur of the area. The gates to these estates were made of wrought iron and were guarded by armed men in uniform.
Overall, the Noble District exuded an air of elegance, and refinement that Neo had never experienced before.
"Oh, by the way." Bella suddenly remembered something and took out a perfume.
"You forgot about this."
{Man, she's grooming me well.}
Neo stayed silent as Bella sprayed the perfume on a different body part before putting it away.
"Now, you are fully ready." She said as she inhaled the fragrance in and nodded with satisfaction. Blaze looked at her actions and said, "I will fall for you if you do that again."
Bella was stunned when she heard that and her face flushed as she hurriedly looked away while Neo had a weird expression on his face as he shook his head and drove the car silently. An awkward silence remained during the rest of the journey as Bella stroked Bolt's fur and Neo kept his attention on the road.
{You know I live in this body as well.}
'Yeah and?'
{And I know what I'm thinking about.}
'….'
{Hey, I just said what I was were thinking about.}
'Thanks for helping me so much.'
{No problem. Glad to be of service.}

The silence ensued until they arrived at the location.

Blaze said when Neo parked the car in front of a grand villa, Blaze got out of the car, throwing his key to the valet as he moved toward the passenger seat and opened the door before extending his hand toward Bella.
Bella gave him a shy smile as she took his hand and got out of the car. They walked in as the interior of the Villa came into view.
The party was a grand and elegant affair, befitting of the noble district. The spacious villa was beautifully decorated with intricate floral arrangements, ornate chandeliers, and lavish furnishings. Soft classical music played in the background, creating a refined and sophisticated atmosphere.
The main room where the party was being held was large and open, with high ceilings and tall windows that let in the warm glow of the setting sun. The room was filled with people dressed in their finest attire, chatting and laughing as they enjoyed the luxurious setting.
The tables were arranged around the perimeter of the room, each adorned with elegant tablecloths, fine china, and sparkling crystal glasses.
Waiters in formal attire circulated throughout the room, carrying trays of delicious hors d'oeuvres and glasses of champagne. The aroma of the gourmet food mingled with the sweet fragrance of the flowers, creating a sensory feast for the guests.
Neo felt a little uncomfortable as this was too much for his taste and Blaze took over as he thought he'd stick to talking with Bella.
{Scaredy cat.}
Blaze walked in confidently with Bella's arm locked with his. With every head turned as they saw the duo enter the hall, Bella's charm and her beautiful yet elegant dress made everyone's eyes stick to her, showing no sign of moving away any time soon.
Bolt jumped onto his shoulder and looked around curiously. It looked at the people who chatted and laughed with their hands over their faces, trying to look graceful and such.
{Arrogant Bastards.}
Blaze spoke inwardly and wanted to bash those smug faces in when he saw some pointing their fingers at them and talking about them, but he did no such thing and ignored them. Bella and he moved to a corner and sat down, minding their own business.
Bella was still a little shy as she stroked Bolt's fur and looked at the ongoing party.
"What are you thinking about?" Blaze asked when he saw her lost in thought.
"Nothing." Her attention was brought away from that toward Blaze, who was also looking at her. Before the atmosphere turned awkward again, Blaze said, "You know, for a noble party, this isn't half bad."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I mean, I was expecting stuffy old ones sipping on champagne and discussing the stock market or something. But this is pretty lively."
Bella chuckled. "Well, my parents know how to throw a party. And not all nobles are stuffy old farts, you know."
Blaze shrugged. "I guess you're right. But I have to admit, I've always found it amusing how some people act like they're better than others just because they were born into a certain family."
Bella raised an eyebrow. "Are you poking fun at my family?"
Blaze grinned. "Maybe just a little. But don't worry, I won't cause a scandal or anything. I'm on my best behavior tonight."
Bella playfully nudged him. "Good to know. But just remember, I can always ask the guards to escort you out if you misbehave."
Blaze chuckled. "Got it. I'll be on my best behavior, I promise."
{Idiot, don't let me make it awkward. I should just tell her I like her.}
'Don't even think about it,' Neo said as he looked at Bella's smiling face, and felt that seeing her smiling like that was a joy on its own.
As Neo and Bella were talking, a couple entered the hall. They were of average height and age, probably in their mid-30s. The man had salt-and-pepper hair and a well-trimmed beard. He wore a well-tailored suit that spoke to his status. His wife had shoulder-length curly hair, the same shade of brown as Bella's, and piercing blue eyes. They both had an air of sophistication and elegance about them as they made their way into the room. Neo could tell that they were the host of the party and Bella's parents.
He then turned to Bella, whose eyebrows were drawn down and together, her lips curled down from the corner. He rose his eyebrow in surprise as he didn't know that Bella's relationship with her parents was not good.
{I know nothing about her other than her name. And I'm glad that I didn't get a present for them.}
Neo started becoming immune to Blaze's retorts and asked Bella, "What happened?"
{Wow, A historical question.}
Neo knew that his question was a little stupid but what was spoken can not be taken back. Bella shook her head and smiled as she said, "Let so, I will introduce you to the Elder brother and sister."
Neo nodded as he followed Bella toward a group of nobles. One of the ladies looked towards Bella and flashed a smile as she separated from the group, along with a guy who also excused himself and moved toward Bella.
"Aww, my baby girl. You look gorgeous." The lady said. She had blond hair and sapphire eyes, which sparkled when she saw Bella. The guy following her also had blond hair and brown eyes as he nodded toward Bella with a smile as he patted her head.
"I'm not a kid anymore."
"Yes, you are a big girl now." The lady corrected her as she giggled. Her attention then turned from Bella to Neo and her brows raise with a surprise as she said, "Oh, little sister brought a boyfriend home."
Bella's cheeks flushed and was about to refuse that Neo was not her boyfriend, but he didn't let her as he bowed slightly and "I'm Neo, nice to meet you."
Bella's brother, quietly: "I'm James, Bella's older brother."
Blaze: "Nice to meet you, James."
Bella's sister: "I'm Sarah, the older and wiser sister. So, how did you and Bella meet?"
Blaze scratched his head and said, "We are neighbors."
This news surprised Sarah, but then she smiled and said, "Welcome Neo, and enjoy the party. Mind if we borrow Bella for a while?"
Blaze nodded and left them alone.
{I can hear it. Mr. Neo knows that, right?}
Blaze asked as he told the waiter to get him something to eat as he sat down.
'Nothing.'
Blaze nodded as he hummed a song.
'What song is that?'
{Don't know}
'….'
"Excuse me, can we have this table?" A voice sounded next to Blaze, who was sipping a fruit juice. He looked back and saw a group of boys and girls standing there with a condescending look on their face.
"Sure, here you go."
The boy who spoke sneered as he saw Blaze giving up so easily and looked toward his group, who also had a disdainful expression on their face.
Blaze, meanwhile, didn't stand up and grabbed the table along with the contents and moved it toward the young man.
"Here you go."
The other party was stunned, and he looked at Blaze expression who had mischievousness in his expression. The girls in the group looked at him with a strange expression, but the disdain kept hanging on their faces.
"What is the meaning of this?" The young man spoke.
"Hmm? Do you also need chairs?" Blaze asked as he put the glass on the table and turned toward him. "There. Get them yourself."
Now almost everyone's attention was on Blaze as they saw him standing with a table in his hand. The young man, meanwhile, had a pale expression as rage built in him. Just as he was about to attack Blaze, he heard a melodious voice. "What is happening here?"
Bella arrived where the drama was going on and saw Blaze carrying a table.
"Neo, why are you carrying that?"
"Oh, this. The guy said that he wanted the table, so I am giving it to him, but then he said he also needs the chair."
Bella's eyebrows rose as she turned toward the guy that Blaze was talking about, and the surprise turned into a frown, like she knew him.
"Nico, what are you doing?"
Nico, the young man who was asking for the table, was charmed by Bella's beauty. Her question brought him out of his daze. He looked at Bella, whose face displayed displeasure and his pale face, that recovered, turned pale again.
"Lady Bella, I mean Lady Hildr, I didn't know he was your guest." He corrected himself when he saw Bella's expression turned more dangerous, so he corrected himself.
"I'll take my leave then."
"Whaa… Take this with you." Blaze stopped as he handed the table to Nico, who could only grit his teeth and accept it. While looking at the Blaze like he wanted to murder him with just his stare.
"Woah, stares could kill you know." Blaze grinned as he waved his goodbye to the group and turned toward Bella who was looking at this new Neo with daze.
He was more charming and outgoing after he formed his core. She was happy that he opened up and was enjoying himself.
