Boom!

As soon as Amela finished speaking, something resembling a blade burst out from the muddy aura gathered behind her. Jin and Murakan easily evaded it as if they had expected it.

'I knew she had a side like elder sister Yona, but this person seems even crazier than I expected.'

The blades from the muddy aura struck where Jin and Murakan were standing. Just by looking at the way the ground was cut like water, one could tell that this attack wasn't just for intimidation.

Murakan instinctively tried to counterattack but held back. He remembered Jin's words, which were to focus on defense and avoid the attacks until they could communicate with Amela.

'Argh, damn it! It's annoying to just keep dodging.'

Not even five seconds had passed before over a hundred blades were aimed at Jin and Murakan.

Amela sat there, controlling the entire process with only gestures and small hand movements.

'It feels like she's a god in this area.'

Jin thought as a blade flew right in front of Jin, and swatted it away with his fist. The shattered blade fragments didn't fall to the ground and instead flew back towards Jin.

It was something that couldn't be done with aura or mana. It was a movement that could only be achieved with a special type of power, the power of chaos.

[Hmph, you dodge it? You're quick. Let's see how long you can keep dodging!]

The number of blades formed in mid-air began to rapidly increase. Even roughly estimating, it was more than twice as many as before and all these blades pressed Jin and Murakan from all sides.

It was impossible to dodge or break them all with bare hands even with all their efforts. Amela rolled her eyes and stomped her foot in frustration.

As a result, the entire area began to vibrate dangerously, and the blades multiplied again, now reaching over five hundred.

Swoosh!

It was impossible to evade or deflect this many blades even for Jin. So, he unsheathed Sigmund.

[Heh, look, you can't take it out just because you are annoyed, right?]

"I took it out for defense, so endure a little longer."

Shaaaah! At the same time, over five hundred blades were fired and obscured the view of Jin and Murakan.

However, in the next moment, Jin executed Plutonian Swordsmanship Mystic Technique: Waterfall and lightning, shattering all of the blades formed from the muddy aura.

Jin effortlessly destroyed the projectiles just like when they first entered this space, leaving Amela visibly flustered.

'Why aren't they affected? Why aren't they going mad?'

She was still unaware of the fact that Jin was a contractor of Solderet.

In fact, she didn't even know who these men were in front of her. She did not know who Jin Runcandel and Black Dragon Murakan were, and the upheaval they had caused in the world recently.

To put it simply, Amela had little interest in worldly affairs, just as Valeria in the past life had expressed.

"Great mercenary Amela, I am Jin Runcandel, the 12th flagbearer of Runcandel."

[A Runcandel?]

"Yes."

[Even so, I can't spare your life.]

Zipfel and Kinzelo and imperial troops killing each other under the influence of curse, were numbering over a thousand. If Amela had cared about the aftermath, she would not have committed such an act.

"You truly are a person with no regard for rumors."

As soon as Jin replied, the shape of the blades suspended in the air began to change and transform into a new form.

The newly transformed weapons no longer looked like blades, they now appeared like cannons.

'Cannons?'

All the cannons that could be seen in large-scale wars were pointed at Jin and Murakan.

Kaboom! Boom... Buh...

Unlike regular cannons, these cannons made of muddy aura didn't need to be loaded with ammunition. Amela's will constantly formed and fired projectiles at a rapid pace.

The barrage of projectiles from these cannons made it impossible for Jin and Murakan to see anything in front of them. It seemed like breaking through these cannons without Bradamante's shadow force armor would require battle god techniques or decisive killing moves, or something similar.

'But Sir Lata and Faye could be in danger if I do that.'

Bubare felt like a soul with no physical body, but there was no need to be concerned about him even if he got hurt. And it was unclear whether Amela would protect her beloved toys even in extreme situations.

'I'd like to resolve it with Plutonian Swordsmanship even if it comes to using the force.'

The shadow force.

Jin initially drew Sigmund instead of Bradamante out of a habit (to minimize exposing the shadow force to others), but also because of his past experience.

-I lose control when I see shadow force. You don't have to apologize because I never told you. Hehe, I thought you would hide that power from me, at least until you became a flagbearer...

During his time as a prospective flagbearer, Yona nearly killed Jin in the spot where she first encountered the shadow force.

There was no guarantee that Amela would react the same way as Yona, but it was better to be cautious. Jin had come to her to make her an ally.

But by this point, Jin himself was helpless. He never thought it would be impossible to have a conversation to this extent.

The cannon fire paused for a moment. Not because Amela was tired, but because she wanted to check if Jin and Murakan were done for.

[I'm so fed up with this. I am putting so much effort into killing you, so shouldn't that mean you have to die?]

Of course, both of them were standing there looking perfectly fine. The aura shield had been seriously damaged, more so than a worn-out rag.

Jin and Amela locked eyes.

"You seem quite at ease for someone who says they've put in the effort. You're not even breathing heavily."

While Jin and Murakan had consumed their energy to create the shield, Amela's weapons remained unscathed despite the massive volley of cannon fire she unleashed.

[That's right. My power is infinite in this place. So why don't we end this without draining each other? Just so you know, that weird lightning sword of yours can't touch me.]

Suddenly, a dagger materialized in Amela's hand.

'It's fascinating. She can form anything with the muddy aura, especially here.As I expected, Amela temporarily gains transcendental power due to some special effect.'

Without any hesitation, Amela cut off her left wrist with the dagger.

However, the muddy aura splattered from the severed wrist, protruding from her bushy clothing, instead of blood, and immediately reformed her clone.

"You're quite sturdy, Amela."

Murakan shook his head as if in disbelief.

"Normally, that kind of high-speed regeneration is the specialty of demonic creatures and demons. But now, even humans seem to be doing it. Hey, did I get your name right? Amela? You should be careful, or you'll die for real."

[No matter where you go, the ones who are going to die are you guys. I just want to give you the opportunity to die comfortably. And I hope you'll stop bothering my cuties and wasting my precious time.]

"I've done everything in my power to be as courteous as possible, Amela. So let me ask one more question before we finish. Is there a faction among those currently in the Gaifa islands allied with you?"

The Four Major Factions continued to battle outside with the colossal form of Bubare controlled by Amela, but Jin asked the question on purpose.

She might not stop the attacks even if she formed an alliance and it wouldn't be unusual judging by her personality.

[What do you want to know that for?]

"I came here like the others outside, wanting to recruit you. I've heard that you wander the world, seeking adventure and looking for something. I think it might be related to this muddy aura, the chaos."

[You know about chaos?]

"I don't know much."

[Then we can't be friends.]

Jin's gaze turned towards the soul of the Bubare, which was furiously pounding the air and exhaling breath.

"Then are you friends with Bubare Gaston?"

Jin asked in a quiet tone, as if asking a child. Just a moment ago, Jin believed that Bubare had come with Kinzelo and had been captured by Amela.

However, unlike the Proch siblings, Bubare appeared to be only a soul-like form, so it might not be the case.

'Kinzelo probably has much more information about chaos than I do. And Bubare, who looks like a spirit, might be some form of chaos or a sculpture, which could be amplifying Amela's power.'

Amela nodded reluctantly.

[Well... yeah.]

It seemed like she had no choice but to confirm. She became friends with Bubare because of her quest for information on chaos, although in reality, she didn't feel like becoming close to him.

Jin's gaze turned cold upon hearing her response.

"So, you sided with Kinzelo, then."

[I'm not quite sure about that... Wait, why am I being interrogated by you like this? I can just kill you!]

"I also asked this question to determine if I can kill you, Great Mercenary Amela."

Krrr...!

A sudden crack appeared in the ground where Jin was standing. Jin channeled his energy, and the air around him became oppressively heavy. And the shining blade of Bradamante emerged from its scabbard.

Jin hadn't come to this land with the assumption of recruiting Amela unconditionally.

-I must recruit her. If it is impossible to recruit her, then I must at least keep her in check.

As he told Valkas, Jin had taken into account the possibility of her becoming an enemy.

In that case, he would need to decide whether to kill her, spare her, or render her incapable of standing at the front lines with their enemies. His choice would depend on the extent of her power.

It was definitely the first option, given with this level of power.

How many Runcandels would die when the day came for the Runcandel clan to face Kinzelo in a full-scale battle, and if Amela, with her nearly infinite power, were to step onto the battlefield?

If the day comes in the future when Runcandel clan face Kinzelo in a full-scale war, what if Amela steps onto the battlefield with almost infinite power like she does now?

How many Runcandels will die then? To avoid such a future, he had no choice but to kill Amela.

"You did not welcome me when I came to your territory, but I don't hold any grudge about that. Even if you had declined my offer with more courtesy, my decision wouldn't have changed if you were to become a friend to my enemies. I hope you do not hate me for this."

Swosh!

Bradamante's blade turned black as it was imbued with shadow force. At that moment, Amela's eyes widened in shock.

'S-Shadow force!? Then, is he the contractor of Solderet by chance….!"

Amela quickly began firing the cannons in response to Jin's actions.

However, Jin, protected by his shadow force armor, advanced through the cannon fire, and swung Bradamante toward Amela.

章節 305: CHAPTER 464

[Support me here:- https://bmc.link/punisher87 ]

The black blade, imbued with the shadow force, cut through the dense cluster and was aimed straight at Amela.

Every swing was targeted at vital points. Jin's eyes flashed amid the torn and shimmering cannon fires, indicating one thing - Jin was truly determined to kill Amela.

Amela was startled and a chill ran down her spine at the vivid murderous intent that seemed to materialize into something like a dark and poisonous mass.

Kagak-!

Their eyes met, Jin and Amela clashed weapons, competing with each other's strength. The cannon barrels made of muddy aura and Bradamante collided, creating an unpleasant friction sound.

'It seems like she won't lose sanity like elder sister Yona when seeing the shadow force. Is it because of the type and size of the chaos or something else?'

The exact reason wasn't clear, but it didn't matter in the heat of the battle. In fact, it might have been more convenient if she had lost her sanity, as she hadn't fully been able to use her abilities.

Jin retrieved his sword that was in contact with the cannon barrel and tried to swing it again, but he felt something hard entangled with Bradamante.

They were thorns. They appeared on the cannon barrel out of nowhere and the cannon looked like a hedgehog. And the thorns entangled and held onto Bradamante.

There was an opening for a moment as he tried to remove them by force. Of course, Amela did not miss it, and detonated a bomb on Jin's head. It was a bomb she had conjured in an instant using the muddy aura.

The explosion felt like it could burst his eardrums, but it didn't cause any real damage thanks to Multa's runes and armor.

In the meantime, Murakan tried to protect Lata and Faye, but he suddenly sensed something unfamiliar and dangerous beneath his feet as he ran. He quickly moved out of the way.

If he had been just a moment slower, he would have suffered significant injuries because explosions were occurring beneath his feet.

"Ha, how bizarre. How are bombs exploding under the ground?"

Murakan looked at the oddly dug-up ground and clicked his tongue. He heard about these attack patterns from Valkas in advance.

She had a variety of tactics at her disposal: bombs that exploded from below, arrows fired at different intervals, various traps, and complex devices.

Normally, these types of things need preparation and a significant amount of time, but the limitless muddy aura made it possible.

Weapons and traps were forming ceaselessly in all directions according to her will. Bombs, mines, massive pendulums, spiked nets, rapid-firing crossbows, and more.

If it had been anyone other than Jin and Murakan, perhaps a warrior or a mage of less than 10-star level, they would have been helpless. The result would likely have been the same even if an entire renowned knight order or a magic corps had come.

However, their compatibility was unfavorable, to say the least.

There were no openings as her curses had no effect on Jin and Murakan, and the weapons and explosives she wielded were suited for mass destruction but not for breaking through the defenses of top-tier warriors or mages.

Of course, she had the infinite power of muddy aura, so their compatibility didn't seem to matter at all. Amela was certain that she would win as long as the battle continued until one of them perished. Because her opponent would eventually tire out.

Swhoosh!

Bradamante drew a sharp arc. Despite the overwhelming cannon fire and traps, Jin kept closing the distance with evasive maneuvers and his shadow force armor.

'The way he reacts to my attacks is nothing compared to the high-level knights I know.'

If she had fought without any prior preparation and completely exposed, Amela couldn't have beaten Jin even without her infinite power.

'She'd be a very difficult opponent if it weren't for infinite power and high-speed regeneration.'

What Jin believed in was Tess's flames.

Blue flames already proved their worth when he cut down the Gate of hell and subspace of Zephyrin. If this space, which acted as the core of muddy aura, was the source of Amela's infinite power, he could handle that as well.

If the situation couldn't be resolved through flame pressure, he would demolish the island completely. Or even if he had to destroy the entire archipelago from the face of earth. Jin was determined to settle things with Amela.

However, there was one strange thing.

'But why is she fighting so recklessly?' Jin wondered.

Amela continued to either evade or block Jin's attacks as if she had no high-speed regeneration ability.

Given the level of high-speed regeneration she had demonstrated just moments ago, Amela can use the strategy of 'give flesh and take bone' to the maximum.

She can intentionally allow attacks to create an opening, catch the opponent off guard, or occasionally attempt to commit self-destruction.

Jin had expected her to fight in that manner if she had high-speed regeneration. Rather she was gritting her teeth and hastily dodging the black blades.

Could it be that she couldn't stand the pain, regardless of high-speed regeneration? But this didn't explain why she had demonstrated her high-speed regeneration ability by cutting her left wrist voluntarily.

'Could it be…'

Jin's eyes narrowed inside the Multa's rune.

He quickly looked towards Murakan, and saw bombs and shields constantly forming with the muddy aura. Murakan refrained from breaking through recklessly, fearing that the Prochi siblings might get hurt, but Jin could see shadow force bursting through the gaps in the muddy aura.

And every time the shadow force emerged in this way, Jin felt a slight change in Amela's breathing. It was as if she was barely suppressing her fear.

It couldn't be deceived.

Unlike ordinary warriors, fear was an inevitable weakness that could neither be deceived nor concealed when facing someone like Jin.

"The wounds caused by shadow force can't be recovered, can they, Amela?"

Amela's two eyes widened within the hood of her bush clothes.

'H-How did he know that…!?'

She almost cried it out in surprise but managed to swallow it the next moment. Bradamante's fierce thrust had just missed her shoulder.

Swish! A piece of her shoulder armor dropped as leaves and twigs shattered around her. The bright red drops of blood splattered in the midst of this.

Amela had failed to react properly to the thrust. Nonetheless, her shoulder armor was instantly repaired by muddy aura, but Jin hadn't missed the moment just before the leaves and twigs formed.

'Her shoulder isn't regenerating.'

The fact that her shoulder armor regenerated before her shoulder was an unnatural order of regeneration.

Jin was therefore convinced that his assumption was correct: the chaos energy, or at least part of the chaos abilities that Amela possessed, could be neutralized by shadow force.

"Look at this, the chatty person has become quiet."

Szzz!

A razor-sharp blue flame swirled above the shadow force surrounding the blade.

"I'll make sure you don't suffer too much."

The shadow force and blue flames were growing stronger. Amela stared at the blade pointed at her without the slightest tremor, but she had an intuition.

'If this continues, I will definitely die!'

Amela had experienced many battlefields throughout her life. The Great mercenary, incarnation of battlefield, the nightmare of Gaifa Archipelago, etc. The titles that followed her represent the kind of life she lived.

There were intense battles where she felt suffocating, and there were battlefields as comfortable as playgrounds. She enjoyed war, but she had never felt a death threat as intense as this before.

Like many titles, the names Amela acquired did not represent the depth of her nature.

In other words, the reason why she showed little interest in the world despite experiencing so many wars, and to top it off, the reason she didn't even know the name of the person who had stirred up the world for the past few years, Jin Runcandel.

Chaos.

Amela had always listened to the voice of chaos that echoed within her.

Chaos kept her from merging with a conventional life and shielded her from getting too absorbed in the lives of others. The Proch siblings were exceptions because they had a "scent of chaos."

No one had ever taught her what loneliness was in a life of war and death, and it was very difficult to find someone strong enough to teach and guide her on the battlefield

Even if they were to meet, there was no room to form such bonds on place where people use evil to kill each other.

The power of chaos had covered many emotions that she should have naturally felt.

In a way, Amela was like a child who was abandoned alone in her own world. Thanks to the power of chaos, she had naturally become a mercenary, but in reality, she was not much different from a wild beast.

'I'm scared...! I don't want to die!'

Some might find it amusing that Amela could wish to live. After all, she had killed countless people on the battlefield, and she rarely spared those who annoyed her.

But was this really the will of a poor newborn abandoned in a well, or was it the will of chaos? One thing was certain, no one had ever guided Amela throughout her life.

Now, the shadow force and blue flames were not just emerging but pushing the fire outwards.

"Kid! I saved the snake eyes, so let's destroy it now!"

While Amela was terrified and lost her concentration, Murakan was able to rescue the Proch siblings.

There was no need to hold back his power any longer.

"Your lifelong fame won't even come close to being enough compared to this sword."

The blue flames and the shadow force, which had spread in all directions, rapidly converged toward Jin.

Soon, Jin became the embodiment of the blue flames.

Sarah Runcandel's magic sword secret technique, Flame of hell. Jin looked down at Amela with his burning eyes.

The blue flames illuminated her face hidden by the bush hood.

Amela had an unbelievably young face, almost too young to be the same age as Valkas.

For some reason, Jin felt uneasy.

Despite having grown accustomed to a world where life and death were constantly on the line.

'What a waste that this wasn't a better encounter.'

Jin cleared his mind and focused on swing his sword to unleash the blue flames, in that very moment,

[I Surrender!]

Suddenly, Amela extended both of her hands and wildly shouted, shaking her head in the process.

[I surrender! I was wrong, please stop...!]

Even more astonishingly, Amela sat down and frantically shook her head.

'What...!'

Amela's sudden actions triggered a myriad of thoughts in Jin's mind.

'Is this a trap to escape the situation, or is she genuinely surrendering? Even if it's the latter, is it right to spare her? Amela already decided to join Kinzelo, didn't she?'

Jin would face severe injury if he forcefully stopped the half unleashed blue flames.

However, Jin made a decision.

He would spare her for now and hear her out. But he couldn't stop the blue flames.

"Murakan!"

Bradamante was imbued with blue flame rushing toward Amela, and Jin gritted his teeth and called out the name of his guardian dragon.
