Two boys burst into the princess's room. 

They appeared to be nearly the same age as Princess Alyssa, their youthful energy undeniable. The details in their attire suggested their noble lineage – unmistakably the sons of the Duke. The fine threads of their clothes showcased elaborate gold embroidery, adorning their blue cloaks in a display of affluence. 

"It feels like ages since I last laid eyes on her," one of them remarked wistfully, his tone laced with a mixture of nostalgia and longing. 

"Steven!" the shorter companion chimed in, a hint of amusement in his voice. "It hasn't even been two days; we saw her at her birthday celebration." 

Chuckling, Steven's cheeks flushed slightly. "I meant, it's been a while since she stayed with us, Andrew."
