A man walked towards the guy lying on the floor groaning.

As my eyes were fixed on the man who was thrown into the wall, I could not see the man's face.

He is wearing a plain shirt which was loosely draped on him, with black pants.

I know he was the one who just defended me.

My eyes narrowed, unable to fathom the true motive behind his sudden intervention.

Everyone around him seems to retreat a little at his approach. It was visible that he was in charge of this place.

"Attacking someone when their back is turned is an act devoid of honor." his voice resonated with an icy coldness that sent shivers down my spine.

The guy who was trying to attack me, retreated in fear, clutching his sides and taking measured steps.

When he turned, my breath caught.

He was surprisingly handsome.

Surprisingly because this building is filled with brutes, who look like they haven't taken a bath in days.

A deep set of blue eyes stared into mine his raven black hair, a sharp contrast against his pale skin with high cheekbones and a sharp jaw.

He stood like a vision amidst the chaos.

His eyes widened as they landed on me, he stood still for a moment staring at me as if struck by something.

My heart was pounding in my chest, I bet it was because of the fight that was about to take place and not because of the handsome man standing in front of me.

As suddenly as he came, he left leaving me staring at his retreating back.

Thanking the goddess that I was able to avoid a fight on my first day here, I went into Rocco's office.

Trying to shake the sight of him out of my mind.

"You are here." He said when he saw me, he was surrounded by a lot of maps and some kind of documents.

"Right on time." He walked towards me, leaving the documents on the table.

"What are you wearing?" he said, looking at the dress I was wearing. As I had only one pair of pants and a tunic that are dirty now, I wore my dress. "You won't be able to work in that," opening a small closet in his office he removed a pair of clothes, and threw them at me.

"Go change, and be fast." I caught them, nodding my head at him.

I was about to ask him where should I change, when he said, "Go on your left you will find rooms,"

Sure, enough there were rooms on the left, going into a random room, I closed the door.

Facing the door, I started unlacing my dress.

"I have to finish this quickly and return," I murmured to myself.

"I am afraid, it will not be the case." a voice sounded close to my ear, a gentle bite on my ear sent heat coursing through my body.
