"Thank you, elder."
Liu Hao bowed in thanks as he got up to leave.
"Don't worry about your friend. A young man like you needs to face the obstacles in your path without distractions." The elder's voice gently rang out.
Liu Hao paused before he continued walking and left the tent.
As Liu Hao left, the elder walked across the tent to one of the Thunder Court's medical elders.
"I was just treating one of the kids from Fudi. He was quite sure the guy they caught was innocent."
"Maybe he did not know the guy. Or perhaps he was fooled. Or maybe he just does not want to get the village in trouble as a result of a rogue disciple's actions. Either way, it is not like the Thunder Court's questioning can be avoided by some little brat. We will know everything soon enough."
"You are right, I guess." The elder who had treated Liu Hao walked away, tending to another patient.
Took a while to get over my writer's block. The daily schedule really makes things difficult. I am going to be publishing on the weekends from now on. One chapter every weekend.
