The excruciating pain surged through his body as blood gushed from his mouth, leaving him gasping for breath.  His gnaw broke as his face became disfigured and unrecognizable. The onlookers recoiled in horror, unable to comprehend the brutality of the attack. 

Amidst the nightmarish tapestry of battle, Frederick found himself standing at the heart of a gruesome tableau. The lifeless Frenchman lay sprawled at his feet, a grotesque mask of agony forever etched onto his now unrecognizable face. Blood flowed incessantly from the shattered remnants of his mouth, forming a macabre pool that seemed to mirror the collective horror of those who bore witness.
