"Wine?" Max disappeared and reappeared with a wine glass and some wine in hand. "This place might be simple, but the wine… it has been here for at least three hundred years." He opened it and poured her some wine. Then he poured himself another glass before sipping it.
By now, Eve was still standing on the balcony as she took in the view of nature, feeling peace and serenity.
"Thank you," she uttered just as the cold wind hit her skin. She shivered and smiled.
"Hmmmm…." Max nodded and looked at the stars before he removed his coat and draped it around her shoulders. "I never thought that I would one day bring a woman to this place."
"Do you often visit this place?"
He nodded. "This is near the mansion. It is peaceful. The humans living in the village do not really bother me. They mind their own business, which is rare for a village that small."
