"Prince Ace… what a pleasant surprise," Maximilian greeted with a smile. "What brings you to this humble estate of mine?"

"Do you have the time to discuss this in private?" Prince Ace inquired, his gaze shifting to Eve with a smile. For some reason, Eve found this unsettling. Demons were known to be treacherous creatures. They could smile one moment and have a dagger poised the next.

"I do not see any— " Maximilian began, but Eve cut in.

"I want to explore the ruins, your highness," Eve interjected with a smile. "This is my first time seeing ruins like these."

"Go ahead," Max agreed. "Just be cautious not to stray too far."

"Yes…" Eve replied, urging her horse to move away from the two men.

"Have you not consummated your marriage yet?" Ace raised an eyebrow toward Maximilian.

"I do not believe that is any of his highness's concern."
