"I never expected that." Ophelia repeated her disbelief for the umpteenth time since they rode the carriage. She then let out a dramatic heavy sigh. "Thankfully, you managed to escape that situation unscathed."
Eve attempted to reassure her, "Perhaps it's just a customary part of the courtship."
"That is certainly not a part of any courtship I've ever heard of," Ophelia replied, aghast. "Do you truly believe the Prince would allow his future bride to serve women of lower status? Although she may be a Baroness, her actions were despicable. How could she subject you to serving those women?"
Eve remained unfazed and offered a small smile. In fact, she didn't mind the experience at all. She had enjoyed discussing politics and current events beyond the confines of the mansion walls.
"Everything could have gone so wrong, and you would have been in serious trouble. I cannot wait to bring this to the Prince's attention!"
