Thyra looked around her again before she walked towards Jenkins. Jenkins remembered the night very clearly. He stumbled to take a step back.
He looked around, trying to ask the knights to stop her. But they were one step faster. There was already a couple of feet of distance between them.
Before he could utter a curse, he saw Thyra standing there. Although he was older, Thyra was taller than him, and he didn't dare look her in the eyes.
"What are you doing?" Jenkin tried to step back, only to fall on his ass.
"Let's go." Thyra walked past him.
"What? Where?" Jenkins quickly stood up.
"The Viscount."
Jenkin stopped, not understanding what she meant by that. As he glared at the knights who had betrayed his trust, Thyra turned back, adding, "If you don't want to die a horrible death, I want each of you to follow me."
Each and every one of them had a bad feeling about it, but all they could do was follow Thyra. It didn't take long to reach their destination.
With the reception they had, Thyra had no problem understanding that they were expecting her. She didn't care.
Jenkins quickly ran to the side of his elder brother, the new Viscount. Jason, the Viscount, was a twenty-year-old man. Thyra had heard about him. The lower nobles were allowed on the spot at the royal academy, and Jason was one of the Viscount family. He was a mana knight trained at the Royal Academy.
Jenkins quickly whispered something in his ear. Jason nodded and looked at Thyra, only to find he was looking at someone beside him. It was Guntur.
"You have two options. Join me or leave the territory."
Silence enveloped the surrounding before the people started to whisper. Jason asked, "How dare you? I am the Viscount of the territory. Who are you to order my knight away?"
"Your answer?"
"I can't do that. I have promised my lady's father to protect this domain till I die."
"Yet, you stood there when they assaulted my people? Is this how you protect the territory?"
"I have to follow the order of the monarch." Guntur was visibly ashamed as he said that.
"I don't need to hear your excuses." Thyra turned her back towards him, looking at the knights surrounding her, asking, "Is anyone willing to follow me?"
Again, there was silence. It was an expected reaction. It wasn't like Thyra was expecting anyone to follow her. Still, she asked. Yet, to her surprise, a man came forward.
He wasn't wearing a knight's armour, but he went on his knees, saying, "I am willing to follow you, my lady." And three more followed him.
It was Ruth, the man Justin had assigned to train Thyra. And looking at the young age of the boys behind him, she was sure those might be squires Ruth had trained.
"Leave this place," Thyra said.
"Stop them from leaving," Jason yells immediately.
The knight quickly pulled out the swords, saying, "If there is a single scratch on their body, you will not have a body to leave a scratch on."
Most of them didn't care about her threat, but a few knights stepped away from the knights holding the sword. They were the ones who had followed Jenkins to Thyra's mansion.
"How dare you threaten my knights? Do you know… *Bang*" Jason couldn't end his words before one of the knights behind him was stuck by lighting?
"Leave," Thyra repeated. Holding the sword, the knight didn't understand what had happened, but they quickly opened a way.
Jason couldn't understand what had happened. "Brother, she did it. She had killed five of my knights before." Jenkins reported.
"What are you doing?" Jason snapped at Guntur, "Can't you see she was trying to attack me? Shouldn't you protect me? Kill her."
Guntur sighed and pulled out his sword, or at least he tried. With the next bang, Thyra appeared beside Jason and raised him by the neck, and *Bang*
Thunder-stuck Thyra and Jason.
"What are you doing?" Bella screamed at the top of her lungs as she lunged at Thyra, and *Bang*
Another lightning bolt struck them. Bella stopped at her spot before cursing at Guntur. "Bastard, what are you doing? Can't you…"
*Bang*
She couldn't end her sentence before another lightning bolt hit Jason. The people around them soon noticed the strong stench of burnt flesh.
*Bang*
"Every time you talk, your son will be hit by a lightning bolt." Thyra looked at the eyes glaring at her, adding, "Put your head on the ground."
"What?"
*Bang*
"Don't make me repeat myself. He is alive because I am holding on to him. I am not sure how long he will be alive." Thyra looked at her, adding, "On the ground."
Bella's eyes were red, and veins popped on her forehead. However, all she could do now was put her head on the ground.
Thyra put her foot on the back of her head, looking at the knights. Other than the groaning of an unconscious Jason, it was so silent that even if the pin was dropped on the sand, they might be able to hear the sound.
Thyra knew the only reason they could mount such an assault was because these knights were willing to follow them. It was imperative that everyone understand who was in charge today, and she did her best to make that point clear.
"Come here!" Thyra called Jenkins.
Jenkins didn't want to obey her, but with tears coming from his eyes, he came close to Thyra. Thyra threw Jason at Guntur, asking, "Who did it to Hure?"
"Huh!"
"Who hurt my woman?"
"I don't know. Ihkjkasdontjbasfaknow." His words were incoherent, and Thyra couldn't understand anything after the first word. However, a hand grabbed her wrist as she was about to grab hold of him.
"What are you doing?" Thyra glared at Guntur, clearly not happy with his action.
"Haven't you done enough? If you do more *Boom*"
A thunderbolt hit Guntur. The mana shield around his body reflected the thunder without doing anything to him.
He continued to smile at her, saying, "If you bully your family, it won't look good on you. You should know when to stop."
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*
As four bolts struck Guntur in rapid succession, Thyra demanded, "Where were you when they bullied my soldiers, my woman?"
"If your foes messed up, there is no reason for you to repeat their error."
*Bang* *Bang*
As he was talking, another couple of bolts hit him. So, he added, "That won't affect me. Your thunder is too weak to break my mana shield."
"Mana shield?" Thyra mumbled.
"That is not important." He added, "Remember, an eye for an eye makes the world go blind. You should…"
As Guntur was talking, he felt something was wrong with his mana. And the smile on Thyra's face didn't assure him, and… *Bang* *Bang* *Bang*
The first broke the mana shield, and the second and third one directly hit him and flung him in the air. As soon as he landed, another two bolts hit him.
Although he had never absorbed any essence, being a fifth-grade knight, he was stronger than others. But he continuously stared at Thyra in utter disbelief.
"How can you do that? You should be able to absorb…"
"It is not necessary that you know." Thyra interrupted him, saying, "Do not think you have survived because you are strong. Only because Justin trusted you to make the right decisions for the domain's sake are you still alive. And I still need you for that. Now, don't interfere. I am running out of patience."
Thyra then walked towards Jenkins but added, "Forget about 'An eye for an eye'. From now on, everyone must remember that 'a life for an eye.' Anyone who goes against me will die."
