Grace’s POV

Did I say progress?

Guess I forgot to “knock on wood…”

“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE???” I bellowed as I entered the training area just a few days later. Jack had received a mind-link from Ned asking us to come to the arena immediately. Apparently, there was an emergency. And when we got to the training facility, "an emergency" was the freaking understatement of the century!

Chris was pinning down two of the grown-up wolves, while Ned and Carter were keeping several more back. The newly arrived vampires were holding back one of the boys and another wolf boy was crying on the ground, his arm clearly broken.

What the hell?!

“Jack!”

He let out a roar that instantly made the whole thing silent as the grave, as all eyes turned to us. I didn’t hesitate to go to the wolf and heal him, however, when I got close, he snarled at me and told me to “fuck off, witch”.

And I was NOT about to take any of that shit from a freaking teenager!
